The Insanity of Being Human (LazVanity)
May 7, 2012 | by Lazamataz

Posted on 05/07/2012 6:07:42 AM PDT by Lazamataz

Cats are genetically wired to behave in ways that humans see as insane. They often torment and play with their prey, for example, in a manner that we would call 'sadistic'. Sadism, to humans, is not a sane characteristic.

Sometimes it seems that humans are also genetically wired to behave insanely. Let us look at the votes recently taken in Greece, France, and Germany. In all three cases, the concept of austerity (read: fiscal responsibility) has been completely rejected by their populations. In one case, France, the populace actually elected a labeled Socialist.

The financial systems of most of Europe are in near-collapse and the only thing that might have saved them from ruin was fiscal responsibility. Yet the people voted against it, so that they may have a few more weeks of government cheese and 32-hour work-weeks. The Europeans, in a collective rebellion against that which exists, threw off the shackles of reality, and slipped from under the yoke of truth.

To deny reality, and proceed apace in a destructive fashion, is insanity.

The reality of the situation is that Europe will eventually -- and quickly! -- be subject to the laws of economics. In a very short time-frame, the system will collapse in its entirety. At that point, ANY paper currency will be meaningless, and the insane actions of the Europeans will ultimately be at fault. Once paper currency, of any nationality and of any denomination, becomes worthless, chaos will result. From the fires of chaos, World Wars are born.

The shortsightedness of a selfish public, who is unwilling to face the harsh truths, is a worldwide phenomenon. It is as if the entire world decided to embark on a worldwide Argentinian experiment -- in which their currency collapsed -- and will probably concluding with Zimbabwean results.

It appears that the solution, albeit one impossible to forestall this collapse, is decidedly local. It is inside one’s self. To become less selfish, to become a person of character, to think of serving others before you serve yourself: These are the character traits that would have prompted people to have voted for fiscal responsibility in Europe, instead of the few remaining months of government largesse.

Tough times create tough and selfless people. Soft times create a soft and selfish people. The soft and the amoral have spoken. The collapse will proceed. The suffering and bloodshed that will result will be Biblical. One hopes that the result, a generation from now, is a tougher and more moral people.

Anything else would be insanity.

You assume that people are rational and have the ability to reason. Very few have this trait.

Liberals have taught them to feel, not to think.

The Insanity of Being Human (LazVanity)

Well done and to the point. But it really brings to mind that there really are two types of people - those who take personal responsibility, and those who don't. And since nothing stays still, everything keeps going in the direction it's pointed. So, after a few years or decades, someone actually has to write something like this - so incredibly obvious and simple, it sounds like "don't crap on the living room carpet" to conservatives, but hyperdimensional physics to liberals.

Bump that. You know how I feel about more original content, Jim. It’s good for FR.

Hon, they already hooked me back up. :)

I’m trying for a once-every-other-week editorial schedule. All original; all posted here. If there are postings elsewhere on the internet, it will be a Excerpt-And-Point-To-FR sort of deal. :) And I intend to enforce my copyrights and force them here. :)

“Now, those who plot and those who politick; now THAT class, I would never ascribe to them, the term ‘insanity’. To THEM, I would ascribe the term ‘malice of forethought’.”

The “unwashed masses” are being manipulated by THAT class into parasitism which will overwhelm the host to the point of collapse. The enemies of freedom have been at this game for a long time and for more than just profit, For Power.
(although profit is a bennie too.)
Global terrorists like hyenas come in many colors but they will work as packs to take the turf: Communism, “Religious” Zealots, Moral Relativists, Eco-globalists, Race Baiters, Sex and Drug peddlers, (even RINO's) and of course, the media and popular culture, all play their part in the take down, which IS coming.
From the ashes they hope to rule over the reconstruction. One world with mediocrity for all and power for the elite. Shepards over sheep.

Let me be a little [C] kinder
Let me [G] be a little [D] blinder
To the [C] faults of those about me
Let me praise a little [D] more

Glen Campbell wrote this song before he became Glen Campbell, Everly Brothers recorded it on their Roots album, and it is now nearly forgotten. (Roger Miller.) But it expresses the sentiment with which you finish your piece.

I like it (the song and the sentiment), while seeing how unrealistic, why, utopian, it is. After many years experience in computer technical support, both company internal and external, I can tell you that thinking more of others and less of me is not appreciated and not rewarded (except perhaps via self-satisfaction.) I happened to be unemployed, forcibly retired now, and am being advised to volunteer here and there, at inner city schools, or teaching children of prisoners to read, and I say, I can honestly tell you, ef-U!

Having said that, I don't recall a rollback of a welfare state in human history, and it ain't going to happen in France or here. I am further certain that the reaction to an attempted rollback in this country would be the same or even more violent than in France and Greece. Gimme mo foo stams!

Hon, they already hooked me back up.

Yeah, I saw that before I made the comment. I've written some original content for FR too and wanted Jim to know that I support that effort. It wasn't meant to prod action of his part. :)

Bro, we’ve talked, and if you cannot say you haven’t actually, truly given selflessness a chance, you don’t truly know how well it works. When I stop living for me and start living for others, is when I get what I need.

People see the attitude, they like it, and they reward it. This has been my experience. I don’t do it FOR that reward, of course, but it is there.

Turns out Jesus Christ was right all along. He says that the servant is the greatest among us.
