Mandeville, LA Its a big giveaway announcement, training, the ATF, and legal battles, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.
Usually, talking about training is no substitute for actual training. When the trainer is Tiger McKee, however, theres a lot to learn just by listening. This week, McKee stops in to discuss his latest classes and training techniques. Find out more about Tigers training facility, Shootrite Firearms Academy in Alabama, by visiting the website http://www.shootrite.org/.
The Second Amendment Foundation may be based in Washington, but this organization handles lawsuits and cases all over the United States. SAFs Alan Gottlieb drops by Sunday with the latest info on legal battles and more. Find out what SAF has been up to here: http://www.saf.org/.
News that the ATF has been asking gun dealers in Alaska for all copies of their sales records has more than a few people asking questions. Congressman Don Young from Alaska is one such person. Young sent a letter to the BATFE, asking why this info is being requested in clear violation of federal law. Hear what he has to say about this on Gun Talk, and read about his letter by visiting his page: http://donyoung.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=292579.
Also on this Sunday: Liberty Safes Jamey Skousen with all the details of the next big Gun Talk Giveaway! Explore everything Liberty Safe has to offer at www.libertysafe.com.

Back in a while. Gotta go to the grocery store.
Hope I don’t miss the Alaska thing.
Tom is spot on.
If we lose this election we lose the Supreme Court
Checking in right here boss!
Oooo man that’s a nice safe!!
Is it a liberty “fat boy”?
The Alaska thing was in the first segment.
But you can hear it on the archived podcast.
Copying the 4473 forms is in violation of the law.
I don’t know, but I wouldn’t mind having one.
Quick question for TX CHL holders.
I’m going to Baylor University this week for my nieces graduation. Can I have a weapon in the car on campus?
I’m pretty sure I can’t have it on me, but maybe it’s OK in the car.
Once a year BATF may inspect the 4473 forms.
They may NOT record them.
Hey mylife! Thanks for the reminder! My first time listening to GTR.
Where in the world did you find that one?
We also lose America...
You’d have to check with Baylor.
I think it has to be posted on a “357”? sign at eye height with 1” letters to be prohibited on campus.
In your car should be OK under the Texas “castle law”
For at least 2 generations.
Welcome aboard carriage_hill!
He was 83. Died after a short illness. Was a good, decent, God-fearing family man. They sprout them that way in Alabama.
What I noticed at my work when the Castle Law passed us that they took down the fire arms prohibited signs at the entrance to the parking lots, tough the left them posted at the entrance to the actual business.
I dont believe they can prohibit you from having a fire arm in the car.
Thanks. Clint N. Suhks told me about you on our evening Mark Levin thread; this is great on a Sunday eve!
Where is the sweepstakes entry for the safe?
Thank you sir. I think you’re correct.
That’s my understanding of the situation, but don’t take my word for it.
You signed up for Texas Law shield didnt you?
Email Walker,Wisdom and Rice.
They’ll know for sure.
I don’t think so, Dave.
Here ya go:
Thanks SF, wow 3rd degree felony. Do not want!!
I guess it will stay at home then.
The policy may have changed. You can call that Baylor DPS number to find out.
I don’t think they can prohibit your car, under the Castle Law.
My work took down the signs in the parking lot the day the castle law went into effect, but they will tell you it’s against the “company policy” to have a firearm in the car.
Of course its always best to err in the side of caution.
It’s one of those things that has never come to trial
Drive by stupid Merryland Staters didn’t get my application back in 7 days, which is the law, because they are so Fluking lazy and ruined my whole weekend to go shoot the new Kimber Solo CDP PINGS! So I have no range report :o(
I think 7 working days for us working stiffs equals about 30 days for the gubmint workers.
Sounds like a pain in the arse but its probably your best route. My biggest bitch about prohibiting fire arms in cars ias that it effectively says you are prohibiting protecting your self to and from work.
I have worked with Gals that drive 70 mi at 2 am to get to work and the company/school who ever, says they cant defend themselves in route?
Well that’s a pissah!
The caller has goats? LOL!
Sounds like he has a rooster too...
Did he say Huffman Texas?
Oh that’s right, they get weekends off.
Djoo get your CHL yet?
It aint Humblegunner!
I like goats just fine!
