The Bishops and Pope say one thing, but consistently do the opposite thing.

They claim they are against the government telling them what to do in health care but advocate for socialized medicine in the name of social justice. The culture that goes with the economic system of “social justice” is state enforced amoral and unethical atheism.

They claim they are, morally and ethically, Catholics but bring in an anti-human life and anti-Catholic, anti-religious freedom atheist to a Catholic University for a key speech of influence on the graduates.

I think real Catholics are being taken for a ride and they should watch what they do much more and pay attention to what they say much less. Keep close to Jesus and cut your hearts’ ties to this bunch of decievers. I think they are leading Catholics over a spiritual cliff.

Will they be using those “Fluke” reclining desks at the Commencement? It would be most appropriate for Sebelius.

Fluck is a student (about to graduate - and wed!) at the G’town Law School. She made it clear she chose G’town precisely because it IS (nominally) a Catholic university, and she was hoping for exactly the opportunity the presented itself.

The article says Sebelius is speaking at “one of” its commencement ceremonies, maybe it’s the one for the Law School ... how fitting there, too, since she exhibited her total ignorance of the Constitution at a recent Congressional hearing.

This is why I think that noise about “Catholics standing up to Obama” is BS. If that truly were the case.. THIS wouldn`t happen.

Sebelius is a very poor choice for commencement speaker at ANY university—even secular ones!!!!

Just give her a broomstick and watch her fly through the air with no trouble at all!!!!

Just sent the following letter to the editor of the Catholic Virginian:

The National Catholic Register reported that ostensibly Catholic University, Georgetown, has invited HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to be one of their commencement speakers. She is the author of the anti-Catholic Health and Human services contraception mandate.

It is time for the Bishops of the USCCB to take concrete action. This should include the following:

1. A letter signed by all of the bishops condemning this action and a letter to the President of Georgetown stating that unless Ms. Sebelius is immediately disinvited the university will be prohibited from calling itself Catholic, until it can document fully that it is in full communion with the Catholic Church.

2. And open letter to all Catholic politicians regardless of party affiliation stating that if they support legislation which contradicts the Church’s teaching on abortion or contraception that they will be publically ex-communicated and prohibited from receiving all sacraments until they publically admit their error and repent of these actions.

For to long politicians have caused confusion and gathered support for anti-Catholic legislation by using the public display of their religion as a shield to deflect opposition to anti-Catholic activities.

It is time for our Bishops to lead the flock in condemn these institutions and public figures which are Catholic in name only and to educate the public as to exactly what the Catholic Church teaches to prevent this from reoccurring.

Why not? She’s a Catholic. And the Catholics on this board always claim, once a Catholic always a Catholic.

Maybe the people are Georgetown are only CINOs and not really full-fledged Catholics like you find here on FR.

She is not a Catholic. She has been formally excommunicated by her Kansas Bishop.

Because she does not represent Catholic teaching. Do you want Arriana Huffington representing Conservative thought, she claimed to one at one time.

Thank you for the link to the other thread! I’m happy to wake up to the news, here in AZ, that Gov. Brewer cut off funding to P.P. yesterday. One more small victory.

Doesn’t anyone remember how the entire faculty came out in support of Sandra Fluke?
