The Obama administration warned the Supreme Court this week via papers filed with the Court that if Obamacare is struck down, there will be an “extraordinary disruption” in Medicare.
Medicare was not discussed during the Supreme Court arguments, since it was not a Constitutional issue.
This is a practical argument, not a legal one; it’s the Obama administration applying pressure to the Supremes. But that’s what the Obama administration does – they focus on the politics of the situation rather than on the legalities.
If they can’t win on the law, they figure, they’ll push the Court to act via “empathy,” President Obama’s favorite legal standard.
And if they lose, they’ll blame the Court for destroying Medicare. It’s a win-win for the Obama administration: if the Court strikes down Obamacare, Obama will blame the Court for harming Medicare. If the Court upholds Obamacare to prevent an “extraordinary disruption” in Medicare, Obama gets what he wants.

I had kinda hoped that the pubbies would unleash the facts about the bogus birth certificate in Sept/Oct.
Maybe they best up the disclosure date to early June so that the elderlies on SCOTUS can take the measure of a truly flawed poseur of a politician!
Can the Supremes haul someone into the Court for contempt? I would really like to see that.

Thats because they knew their Obamacare would face immediate challenge in court, so they intertwined it as much and as quickly as possible.
Since it was a deliberate act by Obama, he cannot complain when someone calls his islamic bluff.
Based on past events associated with the eligibility issue, I have this feeling that the Supremes will be the first to blink, and Bambi knows it.
Between the Supremes and congresscritters I often wonder where the label ‘Home of the Brave’ comes from when describing our country now that ‘Land of the Free’ has become a dubious expression.

How can he file additional papers with the Court after the case has been submitted? Can the other side respond to this? The Court should not even read this submission otherwise.
And this has nothing to do with the case. A problem with Medicare is not for the Court to correct but for the legislature to pass legislation to address.
This is absurd.
Count on nothing from the Republicans. They’re too easily browbeaten into timidity to be of any good.

IIRC, Medicare was operating just fine before obammacare, so why would if be any different if obamamcare was removed? It won’t! Just more scare tactics to force the USSC to vote obamma’s way.
