Thank you for being gracious as well as intelligent.
We need to all do what we can to ( ultimately) save
this Republic.

My FRiends, we might as well face the reality that we the combined pro-life conservative movement and tea party coalition have lost this round (the presidential election)...

But there's more than one way to skin a RINO. Focus on The House and more unlikely the Senate. The House Republicans can hold the line and deserve our support.

Even if you don't vote for Romney support your local Republican candidates!

Not time to take the ball and go home. Time to get better and stronger until we’re the ones making the rules.

Most of those who will not vote for Romney (myself included) have every intention of voting down-ticket. I don't recall very many on FR saying they were taking the ball and going home. Jim just said he would not actively campaign against Romney - that is not an endorsement by any stretch.

I’m with you on Palin. Too bad that she’s not the nominee this year. We really need a strong person to clean house and get things in order again.

I agree with Jim that we need to do what we have to this time, try to help every tea party candidate we know get elected, and then we need to continue to let the elites know their days are numbered.

Question: Is there a way that we, the people, can get a referendum on the ballots to have term limits? It is obvious that the Congress will not vote that in themselves. What recourse do we have? We are NOT being served by these ruling class politicians. They believe that they have a right to stay as long as they please. We have to have a voice in this.

We need to pool all our resources toward defeating Obama and then, after the election, we need to put all our effort into changing the RNC and getting conservatives ahead of the RINOS around the country.

Well said, Big Guy. Even if we can’t vote for Romney—and I honestly don’t know if I will vote for him until I step in the booth on Election Day—we MUST get out the vote and support conservatives at all levels in all offices. Federal, state, local, from Senator down to dogcatcher. City and county councils, school boards, judges, boards of supervisors, statewide Constitutional offices, everything. If we can’t put a conservative at the top, let’s start at the bottom and work from there.

Fair enough, but I still won’t vote for Romney come November.

Yep.

I’m just sick to death of having to hold my nose when I vote though.

You are on the right track.

Mitt Romney needs to face the Mother of All Primary Battles in 2016, regardless of how things stand in the country.

Palin 2016

Yes, But Which Ticket?

Willard will bring the GOP into a Left of Center Party, now Sarah and other true Blue Conservatives may be able to pull it back, but the question remains, is the GOP worth the effort?

My Answer is increasingly "No" like the Whigs before them, they are completely willing to sit back and ignore the issues that face us, in order not to make waves. I therefore suggest Secession from the GOP from our continued union.

With Ubama's tyranny growing more and more bold everyday, we live in a very dangerous time, how long until the Dems don't need the Red States to win elections? Then we have NO voice.

—It wolud be nice to have four more years to stock up on ammo then...guns are on the to do list for Barry if he wins.—

If we take the full congress he’ll have a hard time doing anything. The only reason he gets away with what he does is that the congress does not use their constitutional authority to slap him back into reality. With the R’s controlling it, they would, assuming the R’s have grown a pair since the Trent Lott days.

If there is a way for you to grow in wealth from your creation, FreeRepublic, I hope you take advantage of the opportunity. Sean, Rush and others make a good living helping the conservative cause and there is no reason you should not as well.

I still believe a brokered convention is still possible for Palin to enter if Romney faulters between now and then.
