They’ll work it down below 8% before long.

The more jobs that are killed, they lower the unemployment number goes. No job - no unemployment benefits - no numbers counted. Unless people work, they can't sign up for unemployment, and only those collecting unemployment are counted.

Oboma has to kill a few thousand more businesses before he can get the number below 8%.
That's why he's demonizing and trying to destroy as many businesses he can as fast as he can.
He doesn't want jobs. Jobs kill welfare, and without welfare dependents, democrats can't get elected.

Speaking of charts, I’d like to see

1. Standard of living

2. Wages

3. Income less government benefits

4. Hours worked

Read this:

The Addbacks: +22K From Seasonal; +206K From Birth Death

The seasonal addback in April was +22K, a rapid break from the last 3 years when April saw a negative seasonal adjustment following the traditional huge positive adjustments in the January-March period, which in turn means that the record warm winter give back has not even started! As a result, the seasonal addbacks in 2012 are now a massive 4,499,000 jobs: jobs that have not been added but are expected to materialize based on historical seasonal patterns. And just as importantly, in April the Birth-Death addition was a whopping 206K, far greater than the comparable addition in 2010 and 2011, and much bigger than expected, which brings the year total now to a +20K cumulative total. It means, that by rough estimation, the reality is that in April the unadjusted, unbirth/deathed number was a decline of -111,000, and likely far worse once the true weather adjustments start taking place. This number is corroborated by the Household Survey which dropped by 169,000. So much for the recovery.

They are definitely cooking the books.

Varney & Co (Fox business) just read the White Houses response to the numbers. Let’s just say Websters doesn’t have a word yet for the amount of dizzying spin.

More insight from ZeroHedge:

Unemployment by race/ethnicity:

Asians - 5.2%

Whites - 7.4%

Hispanics - 10.3%

Blacks - 13.0%

At some point, the radical left will go after Asians like they go after Jews today.

Another tidbit:

Adult unemployment by gender:

Adult Women - 7.4%

Adult Men - 7.5%

People Not In Labor Force Soar By 522,000, Labor Force

Participation Rate Lowest Since 1981

it is just getting sad now. In April the number of people not in the labor force rose by a whopping 522,000 from 87,897,000 to 88,419,000. This is the highest on record. The flip side, and the reason why the unemployment dropped to 8.1% is that the labor force participation rate just dipped to a new 30 year low of 64.3%.

Now... if Mitt Romney really had the desire to win in November, he’d use THIS month’s report as a policy springboard in a major speech to explain why that 8.1% number is illusory, make the point that America is far more capable than it’s showing to create employment... and couch those points in a larger vision of where he wants to take this country economically... with specifics detailing how he intends to get it done

He needs make it clear to a national audience (NOT waiting ‘til the convention) that we are all seeing very clear choices.

But... he won’t.

What caused the .1% drop? The “unseasonably warm” winter or “seasonably warm” spring?

What that means is huge trouble if Scotus doesn’t overturn ObamaCare, because that will increase employer costs out the roof and even more will be laid off. We’ll enter a Great Depression.

Barack 0bama, a god so smart that being able to see his college transcripts would destroy all sense of proportion to the beholder.

That's why a mere mortal hasn't had the opportunity to look at that idiots transcripts.

What I'd really like to see is a comparison chart of people who are deriving the majority of their income from employment vs. those deriving their income from government benefits. Maybe it will smack the American people in the face when they say how we are approaching a situation where every worker is supporting a non-family non-worker.

It's so interesting to see these collective morons try to frantically spin things in conjunction with their complicit fans in the press. So, if things are going so ‘swimmingly’, why is Obama’s buddy Ayers out and about telling college students that America is a declining empire?

Republicans have so much material to use in this coming election, if they have the cojones and the savvy to do it. They should already be working on ads showing Ayers making his comments about the collapse of America as a world power, and caption his statements as - “A guy from Obama’s neighborhood, in whose living room Obama launched his political career, thinks that America is declining. Is this what you voted for? Don't your children deserve better?”.

Maybe it will smack the American people in the face when they say how we are approaching a situation where every worker is supporting a non-family non-worker.

We were being used as slaves by 48% of the population BEFORE noboma stepped foot in the White House. 50% of our wages were being stolen from us through some kid of tax or government fee.
This is why we no longer write the government a check every April 15Th. People aren't suppose to notice. The slow drip, drip of payroll deductions hides what's really being done to us.

Slavery never ended in this country. The only thing that changed was the target group.

We just hit a record high of people no longer in the work force - 88.4 million. Add that to the parasites that were already feeding from the public teat, and we're paying for way more than one extra family each.
