I seem to remember 2002-2006 being pretty good years economically. Most everyone had decent jobs, money to spend, businesses were humming, etc. Am I wrong?

Those years were the first time in my life I had seen help wanted signs on full sized billboards.
You don't see any HW signs of any kind hardly anymore.
