...RECORD SEA ICE AT PRIBILOF ISLANDS...
THIS HAS BEEN AN EXTREME WINTER FOR SEA ICE IN THE BERING SEA AND NOW WE HAVE BROKEN THE RECORDS FOR MOST NUMBER OF DAYS WITH ICE AT BOTH SAINT PAUL ISLAND AND SAINT GEORGE ISLAND.
AS OF TODAY SEA ICE HAS BEEN AT SAINT PAUL ISLAND FOR 103 DAYS THIS WINTER BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 100 DAYS SET IN 2010.
THE NUMBER OF DAYS WITH SEA ICE AT SAINT GEORGE ISLAND TOTALED 79 WHEN THE ICE RETREATED NORTH ON THE 25TH OF APRIL. THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 60 DAYS WAS SET IN 2010.
THE SEA ICE EDGE TODAY IS WELL SOUTH OF SAINT PAUL ISLAND AND ICE IS LIKELY TO REMAIN AT THE ISLAND THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF MAY.
THE SEA ICE IS NORTH OF SAINT GEORGE ISLAND TODAY BUT ICE IS FORECAST TO PUSH SOUTH OF THE ISLAND OVER THE WEEKEND DUE TO COLD NORTH WINDS.
It's amazing. It can make anything happen... warmer, cooler, more hurricanes, less hurricanes. We can't see it, taste it or feel it, but just ask CBSNBSCNN, it's everywhere and it's going to kill us unless we give more money to politicians.
Don’t forget all those extra home runs caused by global warming. The jury isn’t in yet on hockey goals and three pointers.
I’m about 100 miles south of the Arctic Circle. It snowed today.
Yesterday morning the temperature was 10 degrees. Sadly, some of the swans that flew up and saw meltwater in the fields next to the airport runway were frozen solid in the ice. The water unfroze by the afternoon due to the heat from the sun, but the air temperature didn’t get above 22 degrees.
The pussy willows, which are usually out already, have yet to appear.
There’s still three feet of snow up by the raised garden beds. I guess I won’t be planting out anytime soon.
We just finished the coldest winter since 1989. We had two days in January of -63 and -65 degrees. The diesel fuel jelled in the lines for a while, which gave us a scare.
I’ve been told by people of some authority that the impact of climate change will be felt most strongly in the Arctic.
Otherwise, global warming proceeds apace.
Anybody notice that the previous records were set way back in 2010?
And I can guarantee you that many liberals believe that.
The weather pattern has been remarkably stable since last year as the jet stream pulls arctic air in from Siberia. We didn't have a single "chinook" storm all winter. If this keeps up it's going to be a cold, wet summer.
The price of the global warming hoax:
“If I wanted American to fail” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ-4gnNz0vc
Don’t let it fool you. It’s offset by the Barents Sea, which is much below normal. And the ice is very thin, so it’s going to do a crash and burn. Extent is already starting to plummet.
And it seems the more evidence there is against it, the more they believe it, and the more intense they are about spreading fear around about it. Typical inability of the left to digest truth, but a lie they will gobble right down. It's really a tremendous shame that they they have acquired so much control over education in so much of the world.
