Several insiders interviewed for this story said former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will present a unique challenge to Romneys team: Will they give her a prime spot to satisfy her fans, or reduce her role because of her polarizing nature?
You want people to generate interest and passion, said one Republican who has organized conventions before and who, like others, didnt want to be named. Sarah Palin goes to a very small segment, relatively speaking, of the Republican Party. And youre trying to put together a rainbow coalition. (Democrats faced a similar situation in 1992, when then-Gov. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania was denied a speaking role, he believed, because he opposes abortion rights.)

Yhere ino longer is a Republican party. why have a convention? So Jeb Bush can push his way in?
Speakers will be: Chris Christie, Ann Coulter, and Susan Collins, to start.
“her polarizing nature”
Translation: Conservative who won’t submit to the GOPe.
Snub her at your own peril. I’d rather go to her shindig just outside the convention center.
If Mittens and the GOP-e can’t stomach Gov. Palin addressing the convention, then they don’t want my vote.
A potential vote, that is tenuous at best.
Don’t forget Romney’s remarks to his donors a couple of months ago. He didn’t want “evangelicals and Sarah Palin” to have a voice at the convention. So Slickhead will likely get his way.
It’ll be the usual establishment Rs. Jeb Bush, Boehner,Cantor, McCain, Christie, Pawlenty, McDonnell.
Any true conservative should skip this charade. The party has made it clear conservatives aren’t welcome. So let the party brass officially crown Romney. Then watch them cry in their champagne when Romney is defeated in,Novembe.r
When will it be worth tuning in?

They desperately want to tell conservatives to F off but they can’t win without us.

It is inconceivable that Sarah Palin would not speak at the Republican convention. Even the Romneys and Bushes are not that crazy.
When will it be worth tuning in or are these three going to take the stage for the whole evening?
Sarah will speak. Early, because they need someone that can ignite a crowd. If she speaks late she will make the candidates look boring by comparison.
GOPe doesn’t want another Reagan 1976 incident where the convention delegates left the hall and said “dang, she should of been our nominee” (like what some where saying at CPAC 2012).
Which is exactly why, even if Sarah Palin comes out and says that she will “Support” Romney, she will NEVER endorse him or campaign for him. Sarah Palin hates Romney and Romney hates her, and if this is true that they will not allow her to speak, just shows how far off the reservation the GOP has become..they are just like the Democrat party, except with the Dems, you KNOW what they are, the GOP pretends to be about Conservatism but they trash Conservatives just as much as the Dems do
I suspect as little as they can get away with. Gotta leave as much room as possible for Fehrnstrom to say something stupid, don’t you know.
They lack the conviction to do such a thing, they want our money.
What convention? I guarantee it will have the lowest ratings ever.
That being said, they will allow one token conservative to speak. One token conservative that they can control.
they are scared to death of her......if they don’t invite her to speak I will find a way to make them pay......
Speaks to a “small segment” they better be careful or 20 million GOPers will stay home.
Even the Romneys and Bushes are not that crazy...
You give the GOP too much credit. Never underestimate the stupidity of RINOs when they’re in “stampeed” mode.
Yeah I can see the Romney team doing that. They probably figure that the conservatives will be over their anger by the time the election occurs. Why not? they’ll figure, it’s not like there is a different more viable third party candidate.
If they do not let Sarah speak, and speak freely, then it is damning evidence that they want Obama to win and the country to fall to the Marxists. There can be no other explanation.
I want Sarah and the Tea party to start a new party now more than ever
Yet another reason why I am no longer a Republican.
Wait until Ann Coulter and Christy Creme get it on right on the stage...since she is so bat crazy about him
...Lisa Murkowski, Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Marco Rubio (coddling naive conservatives), both senators from Tennessee...
The Bush’s and Romney’s FEAR of Palin is why We the People are stuck with Bammy in the first place....
They would campaign more viciously against We the People than ANY Democrat or Communist out there.
We already know that it was the Romney aides in the McCain camp trashing Sarah (those anonymous sources) for Romneys future ambition. He and the Estblishment are batsh*t enough to do this and expect conservatives to get in line.
...Mark Kirk, Tim Pawlenty, Mitch Daniels, Michelle Bachmann (on a leash and muzzled), Sam Brownback...
why would odumbney, who won because conservatives SPLIT their vote, not have Sarah speak?....

If they won’t let her speak, and in a good spot then I have no reason to watch it. And even if she does...I don’t know if I can vote for him anyway. Like Rush said long ago...Why not let the Dems take the hit.
Which is why I find it strange that Michele Bachmann endorsed Romney..what, the GOP establishment doesn’t consider her “Too right-wing” yet they have an issue with Sarah Palin? The Romney a-holes who trashed Sarah Palin and worked on the McCain campaign(Wallace and Schmidt) are still working with Romney now so if this is true I bet they have something to do with this
That was a Romney fundraiser’s remarks one month ago:

Uhhhhh....riiighhhttt.
They want our money but won’t be getting any from me. I gave for the first time EVER in 2008, ONLY because of Sarah Palin, won’t be doing it again, not after the garbage the GOP has pulled. The RNC calls my house sometimes asking for donations, I tell them in the nicest way possible to shove it
How ‘bout Tokyo Rove and Dick Morris?
Of course they will deny her; small segment my arse. She’d make them all look bad. Romney cannot afford that.
They'll be doing breathless play-by-play as Krispy Kreme wows the RINOs.
Sarah Palin would get a donation in a heartbeat IF she were to run.
It's NEVER about principle with these people. They fight against the conservatives who are a THREAT. Palin and Gingrich were popular enough and effective enough with the public to present a threat to the ambitions of the Romney wing of the party. That's why they have always been made into targets and smeared.
I think she wanted to run, but knew the establishment would destroy her and not allow her to run. You need lots of money to run, if they all screwed her over it would have been very hard for her to win..the GOP establishment SUCKS. I will NEVER give a dime to those selfish bastards again. Not after what they did to Sarah Palin
Sadly, many of them will.
That will be Herman Cain IMO.
Your right..guess they don’t consider Bachmann a threat and decided “Hey we can bring her out now and get the Conservative vote” they must really think we are stupid to buy that crap. My first choice was Palin, my 2nd choice was Gingrich, but the establishment wanted Romney so badly, didnt we hear constantly how it was “Romney’s turn” oh goodie goodie, we have Romney, let’s all jump for joy/sarc
Thank you.
