WINSTON-SALEM - Billy Graham on Wednesday released a statement on the proposed marriage amendment in North Carolina.

The 93-year-old Graham has a full-page advertisement scheduled to run in 14 state newspapers.

(Excerpt) Read more at wxii12.com ...

TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Culture/Society; News/Current Events; US: North Carolina
KEYWORDS: billygraham; celebratesin; churchandstate; culturewar; family; homosexualagenda; marriage; marriageamendment; nc2012; protectmarriage; samesexmarriage
An endorsement by Billy Graham is HUGE. He is still highly revered by North Carolinians. Not that this initiative needs his endorsement to pass, but it's good that good people are shaking off fear and speaking up.

He will be crucified by the Gaystapo for this stance on true marriage.

I doubt the Reverend really gives a flip about the gaystapo.

Good, and God bless both and his son, Franklin who despite (the howls from you know who) that are coming, they still stand for the truth!~

J.S. (BTW really hope this passes as it was my former home, I am thinking conservative southern white, black Christians, and a few others may just make it pass)!

Good for you for your reply about Samaritan’s Purse!

Democrats always steal conservative ideas and language-where I live (Georgia-God love it!), the stupid, dem talking head anchors on “local news” have stolen the idea of Samaritan’s Purse for-—get this—putting together shoeboxes with items that women and children affected by the bad economy (read: Obamaville economy) might need-—NO mention that they are patterning this after the wonderful work Samaritan’s Purse has been accomplishing for decades!
(The idiots don’t have an original idea in their empty heads!!!!)

Of course, we all know only dems care about the poor/sarc.

That’s why they haven’t won the war on poverty that has gone on for years and years and years and...

I have reason to be hopeful. WBTV reported a poll the day before yesterday that it would be 60-40 in favor of it passing. Also, there’s a lot of signs out supporting it.

Speaking of standing for absolute truth, check out this Easter message from Greek Orthodox Archbishop Demetrios:

http://www.bulletin.goarch.org/ChurchBulletins/297/ArchbishopMessage.html#60766

The Resurrection of Christ has also blessed us with the light of the absolute truth. The bondage to falsehood and error has been vanquished by the power of the Gospel of truth. False ideologies, wrong philosophies, and evil machinations have been discredited and dispelled by the brilliance of divine wisdom. The deceptions of this world of sin and corruption have been exposed in all their evilness thanks to the illumination of our minds with the sacred, holy, and eternal truth revealed by Christ.

In Raleigh, three current and former district attorneys were among those arguing that the amendment won't change how judges apply domestic violence laws. In Durham, an assistant prosecutor, the head of a state's domestic violence coalition and a family law expert said the opposite: that judges may decide that domestic violence laws don't apply to unmarried people because the amendment is broadly written.

Odd that this is the line of reasoning used by the Lavender Mafia to attack the proposal.

Of course, the culprits in the Lawrence v. Texas case had a history of abusive relationships with their same sex partners and it is not uncommon for a woman to leave her husband only to learn that lesbians can smack a lover around too.

What passes for "reasoning" by activist homosexuals is always odd, to say the least.

When Texas was getting ready to vote for our marriage amendment, the best homo-Einstein narrative was that since marriage was identical to itself (our amendment barred any relationship substantially identical to marriage) then all marriages in Texas would be abolished - I kid you not! This is what passes for reasoning in a sodomite's mind.

These Defense of Marriage laws/amendments pass everywhere and every time they are put to a vote. And then some Christ hating liberal judge always overturns it.

WBTV reported a poll the day before yesterday that it would be 60-40 in favor of it passing.

I'm afraid the actual results won't be that overwhelming, seeing that the Demosocialist, "let's-call-off-the-next-election" Governor vetoed the popular voter I.D. bill last year. Be assured, this election will be rife with voter fraud. Guess which side?

It would pass in the 70's range if NC had election integrity in place.
