Mormon Bishop Mitt Romney’s Anti-Christian Religion

Many naive Americans believe that Mormonism is merely another branch of protestant Christianity. Well that’s not what the founders and leaders of Mormonism believed.

According to its founder, Joseph Smith, and Brigham Young, Smith’s successor, Mormons are the only true people of God on the earth. All non-Mormons and their religions are “wrong, an abomination, blind, damned, of the devil, whores, not Christians, groveling in darkness, heathens, ignorant, devoid of fact, pagan and hatched in Hell.”

When Romney made a speech about his religion in 2008 he refused to distance himself from his faith and fully affirmed his Mormonism. Responding to critics, Romney said,

"They would prefer it if I would simply distance myself from my religion, say that it is more a tradition than my personal conviction, or disavow one or another of its precepts. That I will not do. I believe in my Mormon faith and I endeavor to live by it. My faith is the faith of my fathers - I will be true to them and to my beliefs."

Romney, the father of homosexual marriage in America and abortion funding Romney Care in Massachusetts, flip-flops on virtually every issue, but he is adamant about his anti-Christian Mormonism. Romney needs the vote of Christians to win election, but he refuses to “disavow one or another of its precepts.”

Nor can anyone think Romney is merely a casual or cultural Mormon who just happened to be born Mormon. He is an active Bishop in the Mormon church hierarchy. He cannot pretend to be ignorant of the teaching of Joseph Smith and the other “prophets” of Mormonism.

Below is a list of quotes from Mormon leaders and official publications starting with Joseph Smith down to our day. The message is consistent and clear.

I don’t like Mitt Romney, but this article has nothing to do with it. He didn’t force the residents of Massachusetts to join the Mormon Church when he was Governor.

This is true but it is the EVIL spirit within him that left MA with his same sex marriage, $50 abortions and socialistic healthcare. He initiated it. The evil spirit is from his Mormonism beliefs - they are not from God, so it can’t be good.

True but many conservatives have fundamental issues with the teaching of the Mormon religion.

Phobias like this only serve the left. I have seen nothing to indicate that Romney has ever acted to establish Mormonism as the State Religion. I fear evangelists and their cults just as much, but as long as they don’t take the Muslim stance of establishing their state religion as the current cabal in Washington then it’s time to leave this kind of cheap trash out of the debate.

Oh he WILL further Mormonism. The LDS prophet had 14 US congressmen and senators sent as representation of the US GOVERNMENT to the Netherlands specifically to get an exemption to a law for the LDS church at OUR TAX DOLLAR EXPENSE. This will be common place. And, yes, I can source this.

The goal of Mormonism is to dominate US politics. Been there, done that. Mormons are the same as Muslims.

I recommend a look into Dr. Walter Martin's Kingdom of the Cults. There in that great book you will find a thorough 60 page analysis of the Latter Day "Saints." The book will also look into the Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Science, Spiritism, The Theosophical Society, Zen Buddhism, The Baha'i Faith, The Unity Church, Herbert W. Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God, the Unification Church, Scientology, Islam, and the Eastern Religions. Why did I include the long list of cults for your interest? Because, you will find faults with many of the world's cults and those of us who are Christian, should not condemn, but love everyone; even when they fail to know the good word of Christ. It is those who know the truth that have a responsibility to tell the truth in a way that will lift up our fellow man; not put him down. We should show the light of our lives, warn those who do not know what they are doing that there is danger, and tell all that there is a better way. The good news is Christ's love which all people can enjoy--even Willard Romney!

Really??? Do they torture, behead and honor kill too????

You know they don’t. They are definitely not traditional Christians, but I haven’t heard or read about beheading and honor killing.

It is not a phobia, it is reality. I don’t fear Mormons, I weep for them. I used to be one and I know how spiritually lost and blind they are.

People NEED to know the truth about Mormonism and Romney’s worldview, that isn’t bigotry, that is information.

You need to know what Mormons really believe, not just accept their propaganda.

“He didn’t force the residents of Massachusetts to join the Mormon Church when he was Governor.”

Only because he couldn’t do it. He was too busy screwing up other things.

IF he is elected POTUS, he will be a negative influence becausing Mormonism to become more palatible. Fools often follow celebrity. Donny and Marie Osmond were the best thing that ever happened to Mormonism. They were excused their “mission” assignment because they brought in more converts through their TV show.

Besides that he is sometimes flakey, I have shunned Glen Beck because of his Mormonism.

I don’t want some lemming in America to be sucked into the dead end of Mormonism because of one being POTUS.

However, there are plenty of reasons why I wouldn’t vote for Romney even without his devout Mormonism.

Oh, joy.
I can’t wait for the threads bashing Catholics for practicing idolatry, child sacrifice and witchcraft.
By all means, let’s rip each other apart over actual and perceived doctrinal differences. It’s what the infantile Right does best.

Let me get this straight....you’d prefer to muzzle or otherwise stifle Mormons from ‘’advertising’’ their particular strain of belief and purify the marketplace of ideas? Really, if Christians are abject failures at spreading their ‘’word’’ of Christ, don’t blame a Mormon for taking into their fold a convert who rejected the ‘’Christian’’ message.

I believe that most of the policies you object to are not taught or supported by the LDS/Mormon church. Indeed, several of them are very much opposed, taught against... by that church. Whatever the source of those policies may be, it does not really appear to be his church.
