CLAYTON • A woman who admitted participating in the rape of her infant daughter was sentenced Monday to two consecutive life sentences in prison after her attorneys failed to convince a judge that she should get probation because of a psychological disorder.

Should be two death sentences, but I doubt that he got one either, and in fact, he probably got a lighter sentence that she did (if he was tried in CA).

Sadly you’re correct about him getting a lighter sentence; article states he was given 37 1/2 years. He’ll be in his 80’s by then, but chances of him serving the whole sentence are slim.
