You really got the gist of it from what I have read and been told.
Seems the onoy way Panetta got this mission through is he positioned it as a political loss for zero not to take obl out since the timing was so crucial. Reportedly, Panetta boxed zero in with the timing argument.If they didn't take obl out soon his whereabouts would be known and they would never get another chance.
Panetta knew that zero was all about politics--getting reelected and that was the only argument that would work,true or not.,p> Zero then laid it all on Panetta and it was Panetta's only to lose never to win.If it worked zero took the credit. Why doesn’t obama compare himself to truman, who had to decide whether to drop the bomb TWICE. Can you imagine knowing you made the call that specifically ended hundreds of thousands lives?
Or kennedy in the cuban missile crisis?
Or bush 1, who had to make the call to risk, and expected to loose 100k lives in a war against iraq. Her had to orders troops in, who would act as speed bumps if iraq moved on our allies. A-10s were sent in to be expended slowing down sadam.
Or bush 2, who was in the position to have to orders a civilian aircraft be shot down, and some suggest that is what happened to 93.
I know some of those are dems, and not exactly welcome names here, but they knew what a tough call really was.

Barack Hussein Obama and his “America Hating” wife Michelle are the lowest form of “dirt bags” the USA has ever seen. How anyone, and....I mean anyone, in their right mind could have voted for these would be America destroyers is far beyond me. Sad times for the great American republic of the USA. Seems odd also, given the abundance of sycophants in that room, that no one is glancing to see what the _resident's reaction to 'history' might be.
Finally, and perhaps it's just me, but given the abysmal (ie anti-American) conduct over the years of many of those in that little room,
the very setting and people in it beget waves of alternating absurdity and nausea.
