July 25 2011: Is Mitt Romney The Father of Gay Marriage? Twenty-Four Reasons Why He Is (July 25, 201
RomneyExposed.com ^ | July 25, 2011

Posted on 04/30/2012 1:30:07 PM PDT by SoConPubbie

As Mitt Romney prepares for his second presidential campaign and gay marriage threatens to undermine America’s Judeo-Christian culture, there’s a raging debate about the role he played in instituting gay marriage in Massachusetts during his gubernatorial term. This is important because Governor Romney has positioned himself as a champion of traditional values and claims to have been an opponent of homosexual marriage his entire career.

When the Massachusetts Supreme Court issued a decision in favor of homosexual marriage, — the Goodridge case — Romney unilaterally ordered his state agencies to implement homosexual marriage in Massachusetts. The court did not order him to do this nor had the legislature codified this ruling. Combined with a promise by President Obama to repeal the federal Defense of Marriage Act, this action by Romney has led significantly contributed to the spread of homosexual marriage nationwide.

Make no mistake; Romney’s action was utterly illegal. In four different parts of the Massachusetts Constitution, it is clearly stated that only the legislature can change laws and one section specifically states that the marriage statutes are determined by the legislature, not by the courts. Even the Supreme Court itself stated that it could not order the legislature to act. All Romney had to do was to declare the court had no authority to enforce its unconstitutional opinion and ignore its decision.

But instead of doing that, Romney abruptly claimed the court opinion was now the law of the land and ordered his Town Clerks and Justices of the Peace to marry homosexuals — even though the legislature never acted to codify the ruling. Indeed, according to a Fox News/AP story, the attorney for the homosexual plaintiffs in Goodridge, held the view that the legislature would have to codify the Goodridge ruling:

And so your winning strategy is.....?

Don't confuse me with a Party over Principle, win at all costs Republican. I'm a conservative first and a Republican second.

You ignored my question. Do you know who owns the private domain registered website that you keep posting from? And if not, maybe you should find out before you use it as a source, that is the way it used to work. You know because maybe someone that place might be mixing opinion with fact.

Looks like Romney's already practiced hwo to bypass checks and balances. Yet people seem to imagine "others" in Congress wil push him to their thinking?

He has a focused agenda and it's nothing to do with our nations people..but his own.

The only bright spot in the Obama nightmare has been the surge of conservatives elected in 2010 as the not so conservative became frightened of the real Obama. Seems like Romney and Obama are both for The US of Sodom and Gomorrah.

So the choice is to vote for Romney, destroy the GOP base or just not vote and maybe have a more stacked Senate and House against liberal evil - which is personified in BOTH Obama and Romney.

BTW, the entire primary process should be nullified because of what Virginia did.

MittWits have already compromised God, in order to fulfill their illusion of getting rid of Obama.

~ ~ ~

This is truly a sign of the end times. You can’t even vote
for a lessor of two evils.

Insane. BHO is a Herod, we know already. Lying Romney
pretends to be whatever you wish to get elected. Foolish
people are falling for it.

I will not vote for Romney, he has not shown he is for life, just the opposite. He is pro-gay, pro-sodomy.

I post from many different websites. Not sure which one you are referring to.

Furthmore, if you can rebut the facts in the articles, Romnney's history of being a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal, please do.

Only the damned fools who profess to be conservatives yet have convinced themselves they're doing something good by voting for Romney.

I am referring to the website that you posted at the top of this thread. www.romneyexposed.com. It is not my job to explain Romney’s past, but if you are going to use sources that hide who is funding them, I won’t bother to read them either. Some of what you say about Romney is true, some is exaggerated, but we all know what Obama is, and that Romney is probably going to be the nominee. Everyone on here has read your threads a thousand times, and some of us knew in 2007 what Romney is. But unless you have an alternative that has a chance to compete, continuing to post the same things a thousand times just makes people ignore what you post. You know, one of these times you might have some new information, and noone will even read it, I’m sure you know about the boy who cried wolf, right?

“Smart move why go to the polls at all, just stay home.”

That is tempting, and would be the first such temptation since Ford-Carter in 1976, but there is no way I would miss the opportunity to vote against not just one, but TWO fathers of state sponsored abortion at the same time! How cool is that? It is like rolling a grenade under a table where both Heinrich Himmler and Lavrenti Beria are seated together. BOOM!

There is no way I am going to miss the party.

I know you party-over-principle types would rather be lulled to sleep and not have to face the truth about your boy Romney, but for those of us who cannot and will not vote for a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal like Mitt Romney, we will continue to be honest about Romney's record and who he is.

And this site is not about new information, it's about the truth, and that is what I and others are posting about Romney, his record, the truth about Mitt Romney.

So do you actually believe that everyone on FreeRepublic, or even a majority of posters, researches out who funds particular websites?

Where do you you find that information? Have you ever seen that information posted on a website? Do you expect to see George Soros name as the registered owner of the website?

Or is it that it annoys you that your boy Romney's record is being exposed on a regular basis on FreeRepublic?

You must know how to use Google.com, right. Much of the so called “facts” on that website are taken out of context.Find the answers for yourself. They are available on legitimate websites that don’t hide behind hidden ips. And you still haven’t told me if you know who funds www.romneyexposed.com. Do you or not? And I don’t know if you read what you are responding to, but I will repeat myself, I don’t know if I will vote for Romney or not, but I will not help reelect the American hater in the White House.

No, you're the one making the accusations, put up or shut up, don't ask me to do your job.

You see I've read through the articles and can prove most if not all of the points being made by cross-referencing other articles that make the same points with different sources of public records.

And you still haven’t told me if you know who funds www.romneyexposed.com. Do you or not?

No, I do not.

Do you?

Do you know who funds the MassResistance site?, how about the Spectator.org site? How about RightWingNews.com? or AmyContrada.com? you see I post from many sites, and most of them provide links to their sites or footnotes or some type of corroborating information to support their positions and articles.

Many allow opposing opinions and articles about Romney like RightWingNews.com. They allowed that political whore Ann Romney to lie about Romney's record while also allowing multiple authors to provide factually based arguments against Romney.

So instead of focusing on one site, that you seem to be consumed with POSSIBLY being funded by someone you don't like because you don't like what is being said about your boy Romney, why don't you try and refute their arguments, made factually with historical information about Romney.

To repeat: instead of throwing up a smoke screen trying to divert attention from that lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal Mitt Romney's record, try and refute the information provided in the articles. So far you've made accusations with no proof.
