Dog-eating jokes are the main course at press dinner

the featured item on the menu was dog ... jokes -- which figured, since Barack Obama's old admission to eating dog as a child was just recently revived as a campaign sideshow. "Last week we learned that the president's two favorite steaks are rib eye and seeing eye," cracked comedian Jimmy Kimmel, the evening's host. But even Kimmel got a taste that it's tough to work a room better than the Obama himself.
The president touched on Sarah Palin's recent hosting of "Today" to segue into the night's toughest line: "What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? A pit bull is delicious."

It's possible that he wasn't aware of his youthful cynophagy until it was recently publicized--if (as many suspect) Bill Ayers wrote the book and if he never bothered to read it. But he can't say he didn't eat dog without revealing that he didn't actually write his autobiography.

Hard jokes are the usual at this dinner.
Actually, much better for Obama they are joking about eating dog than about people who can’t get to work because their is no gas, or about how his enabling has caused Egypt to go radical muslim, isn’t it.

Obama belongs in a league with Michael Vick - Michael Vick thought dog fights were entertainment and Obama thinks it is entertaining to joke about eating dogs - pathetic! And the media gives them both a pass. If these two men were not African American the press would fry them. Too bad the media doesn’t seem to be aware that reverse racism is still racism.
