DURHAM - The long, critical and harsh motions, filled with words like malicious misconduct, corruption, moral turpitude, dishonesty, and contempt that Tracey Cline wrote in her attempt to remove Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson from hearing cases has cost Cline her job.
On Friday morning in the Durham County Justice Building, Superior Court Judge Robert Hobgood ordered Cline removed permanently without salary from the office of the district attorney of Durham County.
Hudson, who watched the hearing on television, had little comment about the Hobgoods decision. The only comment Ill make is Judge Hobgood said all that I could say, Hudson said.
For the past nine months, Cline has argued and filed motions saying that Hudson, who she once considered a friend and a mentor, has not treated her fairly in his rulings and that he conspired against her with a newspaper reporter and defense attorneys to discredit her.
