The organizers not only knew what Savage is about: they SUPPORT what he’s about. That’s why they sent out a non-apology to the attendees to shove it in their faces that “we were very pleased with all of the educational opportunities at the Seattle convention and we hope our attendees feel the same.” That’s where “journalism” is today, boys and girls.

To me, it doesn’t get any “better” than that! I think a lot of high schoolers are pushing back on the whole “bullying” association with homosexuality. This year at my son’s high school, they had the usual “silence” day (support of homosexuals). The Seniors planned that day as their “skip” day. MANY of the other students suddenly had “doctor appointments, dentist appointments, sore throats, coughs... whatever and stayed home. The population of the school was dramatically decreased (and the parents cheerfully wrote absence notes).

Dan Savage is many horrid things. And one of the horrid things that he is, is a bully.
To have him speak against bullying is like inviting RuPaul to speak against cross-dressing, to have Ted Nugent speak against hunting, Willie Nelson give an anti-pot address, Bill Ayers to speak for peace, Queen Elizabeth to call for an end to monarchy, Paula Deen against butter.
You need to get him involved, make him see that just sitting around and being depressed just helps the oppressors win.
He needs to go door to door this summer for some candidate of his choice. It doesn’t need to be a person running for President or Senator or even Congress (although ALL congress critters are up for re-election this year, so your grandson’s got at least on race in his area); just GET INVOLVED.
Besides, he’s young, he’s got the energy and stamina that us older people wish we still had.

You know I just heard the story a college student told of her parents who immigrated from the Soviet Union.
She said that the communists made fun and bullied her mother so much that all she could do is recite the Pslams about having faith that God defends his children.
The Christian believers in the Soviet Union were constantly ridiculed and harassed in schools and in the army.
When her father was 19 he was in the Soviet army and because of his faith, they made him stand out in a snow storm naked.
Finally the couple decided to come to America where they could be Christian without harassment. They raised five children and they are all strong believers.

The funny thing is the whole anti-bullying crap is back firing. People are starting to fight back. My children have no respect for teachers. They learned that lack of respect from me. They fully understand that any teacher that belongs to a union and is unwilling to be individually evaluated on their knowledge and ability to teach is worthless, vile, socialist scum. The anti-bullying scheme is for teachers, not students. It exists so teachers are not attacked for there indoctrination of the children.
I take every chance that I have to bully teachers and all “protected-class” people. And to think, I was raised to be respectful to authority and not to bully anyone. Only recently have I lost all respect for authority and have become a bully myself.
