Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

That is absurd. What we are seeing is the salted soil left over from the backstabbing of too many Tea Party candidates by the GOP-E in 2010, and the scorched-earth campaigning by Romney against his opponents this time around.
And it's not even like we got an electable RINO out of this mess. Romney takes Obamacare off the table. Excessive Wall Street influence. Bailouts. He takes too many of the critical campaign issues out of play, while offering little or nothing in the way of his own positives as a campaigner. Most people simply cannot connect to the guy on any level the way many folks did with Bush.
Romney's only advantage in the GOP primary was money. He buried any challenger under an avalanche of misleading and downright deceptive advertising, and they had no way to counter. Obama will not have that limitation. He will take dirty union and liberal money, take Romney's own words and deeds, and drive Romney straight into the ground with them.
Once again, conservatives are being yelled at to fall in line behind the RINO in the name of party unity - after the GOP-E refused to do such in 2010. It wasn't conservatives who sent the message of Party Unity My Ass first - it was those now demanding such, who broke party unity last time around. Conservatives have now seen that party unity only applies when the RINO wins. It's going to take a lot more than the usual yelling and insults and fear-mongering to repair what has been undone. What we are seeing on FR is a symptom. The disease came from elsewhere.
Florida was punished for breaking the rules. I dont know why that is so hard to get.

This was once a place where reasonable people, who agreed on perhaps 75 percent of the issues, could discuss their differences reasonably.
You and Jim have taken a stand, and good for you. The rest of us are not obligated to fall into line.
This is either a forum where free discussion is tolerated and encouraged, or it’s a cheerleading site for the conservative flavor of the month. You can choose one or the other, just be honest about what you are.

Believe me I am extremely conservative, but feel that it is more important to remove Obama than anything else. That is obviously no longer the objective on this site. Instead it seems to be to insult anyone who believes as I do.

The problem is, most Freepers feel as you do. They just left, stopped posting, have been zotted, or have found greener pastures. There is a posse on here that consists of about 20-30 that relentlessly goes after anyone that says they will vote for ABO. That group is relentless and abusive. They hate or pretend to hate mittens more than anything on earth . I wonder if they realize the harm they are doing to this great forum.

Rick Perry was vindicated this morning on Fox News for his much maligned statement that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. It is.
And, even now, when Rick Perry was the last major figure to endorse Romney after sticking with Newt till the last dog died, he was criticized.

Getting called a coward,evil, and that I was going to hell because I’m voting for ABO(because Obama is the worst possible outcome of this election) was when I’d had enough. I served in Iraq for this country, seen people blown apart and shot to death and some dumbass armchair generals on here want to call me and others cowards and evil for voting ABO. Yeah have at it. I voted for Newt in TN, but will vote ABO to try and get the monster out of the White House.

I think it's entirely appropriate in a FReepathon thread to find out why donations are down. Some just don't want to hear it.

One thing that's completely flummoxed me is how the anti-Romney jihadists get away with posting thread after thread of anti-Romney propaganda often accompanied by other anti-Romney jihadists piling on commenting how "four more years of Obama is preferable to 8 years of Romney", or other similar statements.
Most of them used to stay in their Religion forum playpen but the primaries let them bring it out in the open. So there are "pro-Obama" folks here who are evidently allowed to support the reelection of the communist.
I don't like Romney but am one of many that will fall in behind the candidate to defeat the worst thing that ever happened to this country.
It would help if you knew what a “socialist” really is. There is a actual real world definition, and it does not mean someone who disagrees with you. When people within the GOP are labeled Socialists you lose all credibility. The term just becomes an insult without meaning. There is a healthy divergent opinion within the GOP that stretches from right to slight left of center( US context), but socialist is not one of them. So when you throw that term around loosely, you indicate a certain lack of knowledge on history and politics. If you argue that Romney is a more liberal leaning Republican, conservative Democrat like, that is fair and measured. But to yell Socialist just makes fair people roll their eyes, and think they are having a political discussion with a nutter.
