I’m pretty safe voting Palin here in ND as my state will vote overwhelmingly for the Republican ticket.

However, I could be persuaded to vote for Virgil Goode.

I will not vote for Romney, that I can promise without reservation.

This has been coming for awhile now but still to bad he could never regain any traction after Mitt carpet bombed him with negative ads in Florida..

Romney got the nomination but I’m proud to say he will never get my vote.

Stayed with Newt all the way from before Iowa.

It’s sad that the GOP electorate is so dense, so driven to be whipped sheep. The whole group has been made fat and soft by thinking that victory can be had by just listening to old Reagan clips, a talk radio show, and by sending a moderate/lib to the general election.

Conservatives can Shock the Vote if a huge number en masse vote for Virgil Goode and the Constitution Party.

It could spell the beginning of a new beginning for this nation.

Minds would simply blow fuses and all circuits if a mass of Americans refused to yield to the Vulcan mind meld engineered by the major media.

And, as you say, conservatives outnumber the other guys. Let Mitt and Zero fight over the libs and moderates. A conservative pulling the 40+ % of conservatives, that Gallup says is how America breaks out, would win this election by a plurality.

And if nothing else, there would be a serious-minded party that would get traction in local and state elections.

So Gingrich does not believe America is humane anymore? And now we are faced with Romney who is saying we are bad, using gays to say it, using this pseudo-criminalization of America, in favor of denying the obvious inhuman slaughter of America to the level of other third rate nations at the hands of Zero is his bulk of f@gs?

Romney got the nomination

NO he hasn't - don't repeat what evil wants you to say/think. Stay true to what you believe no matter what you see or they say. He'll only get votes from those on his dirt gutter level - then they own the evil they brought on this country.

There are still some fighting and $upporting good and win/lose/draw in this fight - they are winners in the end and that's all that counts.

Which is it Newt, in or out? Let’s hope that unofficial is the important word in this report.

oK, so can we start the blame game now.

I put most of it at the feet of Sarah Palin who was running around, yelling “the more the merrier”, “everyone jump in and let’s do some vetting”.

All this did was tear the conservatives to shreds.

NOT TO MENTION her 6 month tease with the media. Remember the bus tour? Remember the Iowa State Fair?

Sorry, but if we had unified early behind one conservative (not 10), we might have had a chance to defeat Mitt the RINO.

They said the same yesterday and last year. Every day now a hit job on saying Newt is stepping down. They must be worried - if he/they were so sure it’s in the bag, they wouldn’t keep up this deception.

The media needs Mitt to win - so Obama can win. I don’t think you should carry their water for them and post their deliberate deception. Not everyone has time to keep up to see what truth there is in.

If the reported delegate math is even close to correct, it is mathematically impossible for Newt to win anyway as of last night. This is what I think prompted his announcement.

Per the link, the current committed delegate count is:

Romney=844
Santorum=260
Gingrich=179
Paul=79

There are 1144 delegates needed to clinch and 965 delegates still not selected or committed. The formula to determine percent of remaining delegates needed to clinch is 1144 - SD divided by 965 where SD = secured delegates.

Thus, Newt is 1144-137/965 or 104.4%. Newt still can not win even if he secures 100% of remaining delegates.

Santorum is at 91.6%, Romney is now at 31.1%.

Even if Newt, Santorum and Paul teamed up, they would have 477 delegates. You can do the math on how many they would need:

1144-477/965.

It just isn't going to happen.

Better to bow out gracefully now and use the influence to change the rules-- far more delegate weight to states which actually deliver electoral votes for the GOP and far less to those which don't.
