On Wednesday, the Supreme Court will listen to arguments in the Obama administration's lawsuit against Arizona's immigration-enforcement law. In advance of the hearing, public opinion polls are showing that by more than a 2-to-1 margin, Americans support Arizona's efforts and don't want the high court to overturn it.

The recent poll about the Arizona's Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act, SB 1070 shows:

• 65% of voters favor the law, while 31% oppose it.
• 84% of Republicans favor Arizona’s law, while 46% of Democrats do. A 51% majority of Democrats opposes the law.
• Independents favor the law by a 40 percentage-point margin, 67% in favor, 27% in opposition.
• 72% of voters who live in the West and 69% of voters who live in the Midwest approve of the Arizona immigration law, compared to 61% of voters who live in other regions of the country.

Now we know why the "biparisan" Pew Hispanic Center released their BS report that Illegals from Mexico are no longer a problem since more are leaving than coming - as was posted on FR yesterday in at least the following two threads:
"The US Has Finally Done It: Mexican Immigrants Become Emigrants"

"Net Migration from Mexico Falls to Zero—and Perhaps Less"

These were but two of the scores of MSM articles broadcasting that propaganda - not only ahead of the SCOTUSA case, but before A Democrat Immigration offensive in the Senate and the GOP presidential campaign position on the issue coalesces.

Aside from numbersusa.com, I have not been able to find any other article on this Quinnipiac poll's finding of support for SB 1070.

How could anyone be against proving citezenship before being allowed to register to vote and then showing ID when actually voting? Specifically, why would Latino’s be against this? Would Mexican’s or Brazilians or Panamanians want 200,000 Americans voting in their elections illegally? I don’t think so.

I know the GOP gets painted as this anti-minority, rich people loving, group of white people but, I honestly belive the complete opposite is true. It is because we believe in people’s capabilities and the constitution that we vote like we do. We belive in people not government.

The irony is that it is the Dems who are constantly going on about how minorities are incapable, hispanics can’t figure out how to get photo ID, and women can’t get good jobs. I think just the opposite: Minorities are quite capable, hispanics can indeed figure out how to get photo ID, and women can make as much money in this life as they want. Heck, my wife has made more money than me for years.

What a mess.

Do we really want SCOTUS to make its decisions based on polls?

No!

But we must be aware of the efforts of others - by way of a BS reports by a Hispanic advocacy group masquerading as a think-tank - to influence the current court proceedings, along with current congressional and GOP presidential campaign activity and debate.

My posting addressed the truth that open-border propagandists are attempting to hide. Can we deal with that?!

Yes, Americans overwhelmingly support immigration enforcement.

Question is, where do Boehner, McConnell, Romney, Rubio, Christie, McCain, Bush (any of the Bushes), etc., etc. stand?

The 'nice thing' (HUGH sarc.) about Barry, his administration, and the RAT party in general, is that they only like the parts of the Constitution that gives them (more) power over the people. In all other situations it may a swell not exist. But get anywhere near the Commerce Clause and reining in their abuse of it and it's like someone took their Barbie Doll away. Then they declare all-out war on you.
