I'm shocked, just shocked, to see an article like this from the NYT. Just imagine legions of their readers tsk-tsking and clucking disapprovingly and even wetting their beds at the thought of law-abiding, armed citizens who may not be wearing camo clothing or looking like Rambo. Once Bloomberg recovers from fainting after reading this, look for him to try and get such clothing banned (for regular citizens, that is).

The shirt has a barely discernible side slit with Velcro through which, he said, he can yank his Colt 1911 from his waistband holster.

IMHO Velcro can only get in the way and slow down the presentation of the weapon in an emergency.

Sometimes odds of drawing may be low enough that concealment is, balancing probabilities & consequences, paramount.
