The deleted comment is my duplicate ping to Newt’s List. Somehow, it posted twice when it was in preview mode.
I noticed that. There is also another post deleted that’s a few posts later. Can’t remember what that post would be.
That looks like an error. I pinged Sarah List. Let me inquire.
I contributed to Newt (and I almost NEVER go that far!) and will vote for him in the Texas primary.
I, however, don’t have much hope for him winning the nomination, which is unfortunate for America. :(

I think Newt’s big push is to help keep Romney from getting the nomination and dominating what kind of platform the R’s have. Could you imagine what it would be if the R’s had a platform saying that states can institute their own religion and force people to participate in it?
Yet that’s what Romney is basically saying with his defense of Romneycare.
Gingrich knows what the Islamists would make of that precedent. Sadly, it seems that neither Romney nor the GOP-e believe we have any enemies who would pounce on that precedent.
Which is why we have been able to reach this really, really critical situation. Eric Holder has been making sure that Hezbollah and 2 other deadly allies - the Mexican drug cartels and the New Black Panther Party - have free rein to enter the country to surround every major city and to incite violence in those cities, all without law enforcement or anybody else doing a thing to stop them. We are being set up for a sharia takeover; it’s just a matter of time unless we get somebody in a position of power to actually realize what we’re up against.
While the “conservatives” are arguing about whether it is worse to put a dog in a kennel on top of the car or to eat dog meat.... the boa is wrapping itself around our necks. Either we wake up and cut off this boa’s head.... or we die.
It is literally do or die right now. And people need to be made aware that while the political class fiddles.... America prepares to be burned.

I really need to get to work so I don’t have an all-nighter tonight, but it’s so hard to tear myself away when the timing is so critical. I’ll trust that this is in good hands. What would any of us do without each other?
Whatever his strategy, I hope it works, because I don’t trust Myth any more than I do zero.
This has been the most depressing election cycle I’ve ever experienced, pitting our country’s future against pure evil.

You need to give it up. Even newt has conceded it is over. The only reason he is sticking around is to raise money to pay off his debt and promote future book sales.

Newt is letting Romney believe it’s over. That is part of the plan. It’s not over until the fat lady sings and I haven’t even warmed up yet. ;)
Even if I knew we had no shot of making any difference, my conscience will not let me stand around idle while the freedoms and blessings we’ve been given drain out like blood from a corpse left hanging.
What better have I to do than to fight for what is right? Why should I stop now? This country may go down, but it sure as heck won’t go down without a fight. It’s worth more than that to me - that I should let it fall to the ground without even trying to catch it and keep it from falling.
I remember reading a story about a soldier who injured himself badly diving to keep the American flag from hitting the ground. Your name is “Old Retired Army Guy”. Too many men have sacrificed too much for me to drop the baton now, to let the flag drag in the manure pile. There’s no way I could do that. I have to fight.
