NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A homeowner shot and killed a suspected intruder during a home invasion in south Nashville late Wednesday night.
It happened at the Brentridge Apartments on Brentridge Circle around 11 p.m.
Investigators said a man and woman were inside their apartment when they heard a knock on the door.
When they went to answer it, they said a man armed with a pistol and wearing a mask barged in.
There was a brief altercation, and that's when the man inside the apartment pulled out a gun and opened fire on the intruder, killing him.
Police were working to identify the man who was killed, and determine what his motive was for trying to break into the home.
Police continue to investigate and talk with witnesses. It was reported that a red truck with chrome rims was seen speeding off from the apartment complex shortly after the shooting, and police were trying to determine if they were related.

Suspected intruder? I think the geography indicates there is no suspicion about it.

The perp thought he heard that the shooter had a huge stash of Skittles™, but was they really said was that the guy had a huge a$$ pistol...
Cities need to give citizens who kill criminals a tax credit for the fact they’ve saved the city money having to deal with the criminal. think if the guy was a career criminal. You can figure out how much money a city spends per criminal and see how much they can save per dead criminal.
-I did a quick Google search for “home invasion in south Nashville”, and holy smokes, in recent days there must have been at least half a dozen of them.
One that actually had a picture of the deceased perp in it, he had busted in on a guy armed with an AR-15. I have no clue if they even included this articles home invasion.

How many people sit around their house or apartment with
a gun on or next to their body?
It looks to me like both parties are/were possibly criminal tugs or gangsters.
