Republicans are increasingly falling in behind Mitt Romney's White House run, but they haven't got a clue who he should add to the ticket, a CNN/ORC International survey says.

Condoleezza Rice tops the vice presidential wish list among Republicans and right-leaning independents, according to the poll Wednesday. Twenty-six percent of those polled backed the former national security adviser and secretary of state under George W. Bush as Romney's No. 2.

OMG. I believe she voted for Obama. I don’t think she ever came out and said it, but the statements she did make back in ‘08 led me to believe that.

RINO/RINO vs. LIB/LIB.

Not much of a choice.

And has everyone forgotten that she openly supported Obama for president in 2008?

Can you forget something that never happened?

(and if any freeper is going to whine that doing so will cause Obama to win, I live in Illinois. If you think this state's electoral votes will go to Romney, I have a bridge to sell you).

Illinois is Obummer's home state.

Al Gore lost his home state.

If RINO Condi Rice isn't available there are plenty of other RINOs salivating at the trough — Collin Powell, Olympia Snowe, Bob Bennett (still looking for a gig), Mike Bloomberg, Lisa Murkowski, etc. However, some of these political whores also equate Mittens as the liss of death to their latent political hopes, so he will have to keep looking. Maybe Joe Liberman?

Rice Congratulates Obama Tearfully,
Says She Is "Especially Proud" Of Obama's Win

An emotional Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice reveled Wednesday in Barack Obama's election, calling it an "extraordinary step forward" for the nation.

"As an African-American, I'm especially proud," said Rice, her eyes glistening with emotion, "because this is a country that's been through a long journey, in terms of overcoming wounds and making race" less of a factor in life. "That work is not done, but yesterday was obviously an extraordinary step forward."

Here’s a good idea...

Let’s re-create the Bush administration.
Let’s get Karl Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the others back in power.

Then we’re all set for another Democrat takeover in 2016.

>> Illinois is Obummer's home state. Al Gore lost his home state. <<

Tennessee Republicans put up a FIGHT against Al Gore in 2000 and relentlessly hammered him.

Illinois Republicans ROLL OVER for Barack Obama, and have been doing so for the last decade. Alot of the "Republican leaders" leader here, like Ray LaHood and Kirk Dillard, even ENDORSE him.

Again, if you think this state's electoral votes will go for Romney, I have a bridge to sell you. Would you care to bet money over how the state will vote for President in November? Not only will Obama win it, he will win it by a comfortable margin, thanks to Crook County overwhelmingly voting to re-elect him.

Gore carried his “home state” of DC in 2000. ;-)

Actually, TN Republicans hardly had to do much of anything to rally the state against Gore. He was pretty toxic by the end of the second Clinton term. Our worry was the unpopular RINO Governor Sundquist (no surprise, an IL-born RINO, like a Combiner) would damage the GOP brand and help Gore. The party practically had to keep him hidden for a year (before he worked his magic in helping the Democrats in ‘02 via both redistricting and electing Pharoah Phil).

IMHO she is not conservative, and doesn’t deserve the slot. She was a mystery as GWB’s SOS, just dropped out of sight, hardly heard anything from her. I’m sure Romney will give her something, but she doesn’t deserve to be VP.
