I WANT THE ARCH ENEMY OF THE LEFT IN THE WHITE HOUSE! PERIOD!

THE ENEMY OF A LIAR IS ACCURACY!

So what was it that you said you wanted in a replacement for the Oval Office?? I thought it was honesty, and integrity, and Pro-Am policies that support main street, our Constitution, Laws of the land and the freedoms we hold dear. Wasn’t it??? Didn’t you?? You said you wanted someone who could communicate that without a teleprompter. You said you were sick of the lamestream media lies (have you already forgotten that you are the mainstream media??). Well accuracy, dear friend and conservative voter, is the enemy of lies. I want a policy EXPERT in the OVAL OFFICE that remains on the side of “We the People” and our freedoms and the rule of law. I want the arch-enemy of the left in our oval, and that happens to be Newt!

Right you are tomkat. THEY want you, and me to feel defeated, to succumb to their will, and here we see it all about us. THEY have actually DEFEATED a bunch of FReepers.

I thought FReepers were the undefeated.

Shame on me for thinking so highly of FReepers that I became so blind.

GO Newt!

That's absurd! Mitt is NOT the nominee!

Not yet, he's not...
What part of that is confusing?

Formalities are irrelevant. He’s the last man standing with any shot at the nomination. Santorum is out. Newt is beaten. Romney’s the guy.

Better that conservatives deal with reality rather than clinging to the false hope of a candidate that’s too stubborn to admit that he’s been beaten by a lackluster prettyboy.

Mitt is the “not Obama” candidate for 2012.

Newt is an older pro in this business than ANY of the rest. If he thinks there's a chance and a reason to stay in, I am with him.

Newt is many things but he's not stupid. He knows he isn't going to win this thing. He's sticking around for the campaign contributions. As long as he's in the race, people can contribute and with his campaign $4 million in debt, he needs as many people as possible clicking on the "donate" button before he has to call it quits.

And as a Bob Dole voter, I am saying there's PLENTY of time for that!

In the mean time I fight for Newt and donate time and money.

Live Free or die.

see ya'

Tamara Heater is rapidly becoming my hero. She gets it and everything that she has written is spot on with reality. I think she is a rising conservative star. Great job Tamara.

Why Newt is the last chance to save America as we know it.

The last chance to save America DOES NOT rest on the election of any particular politician, especially those offered up for consideration in the past couple decades.

The last chance to save America rests with We the People, refreshing the Tree of Liberty with the timeless wisdom contained in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights... or not.

Exactly my point. Wasting money and time on a mirage. You’re paying off his debts, not helping a candidate that’s still in this race.

Put the money to better use.

Newt can’t win. Its over. No need to continue fighting yesterday’s war (or blogging about yesterday’s war). It doesn’t matter how great Newt is. If he’s the Messiah, or Reagan reincarnated — he still can’t win the nomination, much less the Presidency. He’s done. If he was our best hope — then its time to find the next best hope, or hunker down. Arranging deck chairs as the last few feet of the USS Newt go underwater is not productive. Clinging to false hope is a waste of time. Reality always beats delusion for planning purposes. Mitt is the nominee. Now what?

;-------------------------------------------------------

Wow. Why so negative? I doubt America could have survived 50 years if we all had that attitude.

I'll put my money where I WANT, thank you, and I sure as hell won't give my money to a guy worth hundreds of millions!

Call me cheap, I don't care.

Look, you have the freedom to support and vote for whomever you want. I am not giving up yet (neither is Newt's backer who just put in 5 million more yesterday on top of thousands of new doners to Newt) I guess he's and they are dopes too.

You can go lie down if you want. I am NOT going to.

We will never convince each other and I don't come to FR much anymore just because of stuff like this.

Now see ya' and please... do what you want and I will too.

Negativity requires forecasting. This is just reality. The race is over. Romney has moved on. Conservative talkers have moved on. Even the horserace-obsessed media has moved on.

Delusions don’t help anyone. Conservatism is about dealing with the reality on the ground, not pie-in-the-sky false hopes.

Newt and Rick shot each other in the foot. If one or the other had gotten out early enough for the other to win, we’d have a different race. Both stayed in to the bitter end, split the conservative vote, got their asses whipped — and Romney beat them. Pride ... fall.

I wasn’t suggesting giving it to Romney. Take a vacation with the family. Throwing it down a well does no good for anyone.

If Romney has won already, what difference does it make if Newt supporters stay with him through Tampa?

I say Romney hasn’t won yet.
