Bullied Boy Suspended for Fighting Back
The Christian Post ^ | April 20, 2012 | Benge Nsenduluka

A nine-year-old Colorado boy has reportedly been suspended from his elementary school after standing up to a bully who was physically harming him.

Nathan Pemberton, a third grade student, claims that he was subject to beatings from another child and when he finally garnered the courage to stand up for himself he was punished and removed from West Elementary School in Colorado Springs, which his parents think is ludicrous, according to Mail Online.

"One kid kicked me in the back, then punched me in the face. Then I punched him in the face and then I got in trouble," Nathan told KDVR-TV.

Nathan had previously complained to the school about the constant bullying, but his parents claim that he did not receive the right assistance to properly resolve the problem.

Public schools, ruining generation after generation, one life at a time.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The government socialist-entitlement schools do NOT want little boys to learn how to defend themselves and later their wives and children. They are grooming an emasculated generations of metrosexuals. They want the boys and girls to grow up looking to the government for protection.

Fundamentally, the Teacher Ratcheds ( sisters to Nurse Ratched), who run the government socialist-entitlement schools, figuratively eat the testicals of little boys for breakfast.

I don't know why any sane father would allow a little boy to darken the doorway of a government socialist-entitlement school. By the way, it isn't good for little girls either.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Here are a few questions:

Personally, I consider government owned and run socialist-entitlement schooling to be evil. I ask Freepers the following questions, then decide.

Are all government socialist-entitlement K-12 schools godless in their worldview? Do students who sit in godless classrooms learn to think and reason godlessly? If they are to cooperate in the classroom how could it be otherwise?

Are taxpayers forced to subsidized the establishment of atheistic godless secular humanism preached by the government socialist-entitlement K-12 schools? How can this be compatible with the First Amendment?

Are all children whose parents can not ransom them from the godless government socialist-entitlement schools forced to attend? What happens if they or their parents refuse to attend these godless schools?

Are all government owned and run K-12 schools a socialist-entitlement?

Merely by attending do children risk learning that the voting mob that gives them tuition-free schools can be persuaded to give them **lots** of free stuff?

Once in the godless government K-12 schools is every First Amendment Right trashed? ( Speech, press, free assembly, and expression of religion) Does this in any way resemble the way prisoners are treated?

Do government owned and run K-12 schools generally look like minimum security prisons? Is there a risk that the students ( who are treated like prisoners by government functionaries) will learn to be comfortable prisoners of the state?

In the end, it was still worth it, though. I didn’t win the fight by any means, but I popped the creep a good one in the mouth and he never bothered me again.

The school is not going to protect you, and really what you did was better for you and your bully. Same with this kid. Only thing whose than a bully is a tattletale.

You defeat your purpose with the constant bashing, since the vast majority of it is irrational.

Specifically, is there any question in post #16 is irrational and why?

Looks like we have to redefine “bullies”.

Years ago, in the days before caller ID, there was a bully in my kids school. I called the bullies’ father and told him that if his kid bullied my child I would settle the score with him (the father) at a time and place of my choosing. He didn’t know who called him so he must have told his kid to knock it off since the bullying stopped.

I think the point is that everybody with children in school would be FAR better off if we had absolute school choice. If the liberals want their young boys to be raised as pansies...let them....give everybody else the ability to opt out.

Personally, I consider government owned and run socialist-entitlement schooling to be evil.

Then you are a hypocrite because you have utilized those socialist entitlements when it served your purposes.

Are all government socialist-entitlement K-12 schools godless in their worldview? Do students who sit in godless classrooms learn to think and reason godlessly? If they are to cooperate in the classroom how could it be otherwise?

Worthless question because you are expecting a specific answer to the 1st two and if it is not your desired response, the 3rd question is a moot point. Don't bother.

You are so well versed in Alinsky tactics that you yourself are unable to see how you are as guilty, if not more so, of that which you decry in others.

You have long ago invalidated your own rhetoric, but are so entrenched in it you can not see the forest for the trees.

Your strawmen no longer work with me. neither do your bullying tactics. And that is exactly what you are when it comes to the topic of public schools - a bully. Actually I should say a wannabe bully, because you are totally incapable of bullying me, no matter how hard you try. I won't fall for your -gotcha- mentality ever again.

When you can speak rationally, I will consider you have something productive to say, but as long as you stick with Alinsky rules, nothing you say is of importance.

My son has been instructed to beat the snot out of anyone if they try picking on him. He might get in trouble at school, but he gets one get out of jail free card at home. Fortunately, he has not been a target thus far and I doubt he ever will be. He is very likable.

I agree with you about school choice - my parents chose to send my brother and I to Catholic school. My husband and I chose public school for our daughter and chose the district.

My point is that there is a certain contingent here that disagree with the choice I and many others have made and thus make us out to be nothing short of the devil himself. I have been called everything from an unfit mother to an abusive parent by some of them. They only agree with school choice if the choice agrees with their choice - which is the epitome of a liberal mentality.

yeah...nothing new here.

My son (South American Hispanic) was once surrounded by a gang (Mexicans) who always harassed him, and they ordered him to fight them one at a time or be beaten up by all of them at once. He had flattened three of them before the teachers figured out what all the noise was.

So he was suspended by the school, along with the gang. Why? The school said he should have called a teacher to stop them (which would only have meant they would have gotten him on the way home from school)....

But afterward, he was left alone...

“Then you are a hypocrite .....”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

My oldest child is 42. The youngest is in their late twenties. In the past 2 to 4 DECADES have** you** ever **changed your mind*** about an issue? Would changing **your** mind about an issue make **you** a hypocrite? ( Just wondering)

By the way, are Freepers who collect social security hypocrites because many advocate for privatization of retirement? Are those Freepers who believe federal lands should be returned to the states because they visit a national park or ( gasp!) even go camping in one? Do those Freepers who believe in the flat tax or fair tax hypocrites for paying their taxes? If they drive a car are they hypocrites for preaching an end to gasoline taxes? Freepers who advocate closing government schools and have used the government schools ( some, like me, can count the time in **days**) are they hypocrites because they may have used the schools for convenience at some time in their child's life?

The questions I have asked do have answers. Mostly I post them for other Freepers to ponder since I don't recall you ever having directly addressed any of these points. Instead, the Alinsky distraction of calling me a hypocrite is used.

By the way, I never report personal insults to the moderators. Personal insults say sooooo much more about those flinging them that they do about those against whom they are directed. I prefer for these personal insults to stand so that fellow freepers can read them.

Here are the questions again should you have a change of heart and be willing to consider them:

( Not proof read!_)

The thing is, you took the time to examine your choices and made the ones that best suited you. That is, you didn’t blindly send your kids into government schools without first making sure the sanity level in the school district was acceptable.

I happen to live in a very conservative area where the parents are not afraid to hold teachers accountable. My kids all went to government schools, but they were government schools in a district that was very highly rated. I remained vigilant and debriefed my kids on a regular basis to see what kind of liberal nonsense they were being fed. To my surprise, the teachers were mostly conservatives themselves.

One funny story: One day the kids were at an “assembly” in the main auditorium and were shown a documentary about the Olympics. This was around 1999-2000. During the documentary there was a clip of President Clinton saying something, and as soon as his face was on the screen all the kids cracked up in laughter. My son said the horrified looks on the faces of a couple of the female teachers was priceless.

During our final parent-teacher night for our youngest - - this was in 2008 - - I noticed posters taped up around the hallways announcing an upcoming student “debate”. The topic was: “Who is more qualified to be President, Barack Obama or Sarah Palin.” I howled! Palin was, of course, the VICE Presidential nominee while Ubama was the rats’ Presidential nominee. I am pretty sure the kids (and their teacher-mentors) failed to see the irony.

In any event, I was always ready to find private schools and/or homeschool my kids if the government schools they attended got too silly. My neighbors and my brother (different district) opted to homeschool, and a close friend (again, a different district) opted for Catholic school, so I had plenty of resources available to get information about options.

Unfortunately, the district I live in is the exception rather than the rule. From what I can tell, the closer a district is to a concentrated Democrat parasite nest (”city”) the more likely it is to irreversibly damage children who attend its schools.

Nice try - but no cigar.

You have a my way or the highway attitude when it comes to education and have gone so far as calling those who choose to place their children in or teach in public schools everything from unfit parents to child abusers. You are in no position to talk about others making what you consider personal attacks.

Contrary to your opinion, I am not a stupid woman and see through you better than I see through the screens in my windows.

You are the problem, not me.

And BTW - I don’t use the abuse button either - I enjoy seeing others see you for what you are - a bully.
