Virgil Goode giving his acceptance speech now at the convention. Thanking the other candidates for all their hard work running in this race and those in our national party that have worked hard over the years for our party.

I will definitely vote for Goode over Romney or Obama.

He is without doubt the most conservative candidate: pro small government, pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-natural marriage and family, etc.

I saw his website, and he clearly would have been among the most conservative candidates, perhaps the most conservative candidate, had he been in the GOP-E Romney Beauty Pageant.

I'm with you. If it's Obamney vs Robama I'm voting FOR the only Conservative in this race which is Goode.

Don't vote for the lesser of two evils. Vote for Goode! - hey this could be my new tagline.

If Clinton got 43% of the vote, then that left 57% out there someplace. George W Bush was NOT able to get it.

I’d blame that on GW raising taxes and being go-along-to-get-along on everything else.

The truth is that every poll in the last number of years has said America is approx. 40% conservative, 35% moderate, and 25% liberal. That means a UNION OF CONSERVATIVES could win the election.

Vote Conservative: Cast a vote for Goode and not for the lesser of two evils.

Goode or evil, my friend!

See post #43 again....

Bush got 37.4% of the votes

ROSS PEROT GOT 18.9% OF THE VOTES VIA THE THIRD PARTY fools...and the little big eared, egomaniac prick laughed all the way to the bank.

"I'm all ears Larry..."

Then, please, go vote for Romney.

I just can’t bring myself to support Romney. I’ll consider it with the right VP choice and if there’s significant and sincere outreach to cultural conservatives/pro life agenda. So far I’ve seen nothing of that. I live in Californicrapper, so this state is locked up for Barry O anyway.

You can and you will vote for Romney on Nov. 6. You have to; it’s mandatory for Republicans. Barbara says to. So does GHWB. George W., Jebbie, Bob Dole, only Laura is waiting on the sidelines.

Let me see...there was 57% of the electorate out there that didn’t want Clinton and Bush couldn’t get them. What’s that tell you about Bush?

"No offense guys but, seriously?"

Read the Constitution Party's platform and then look who the Republicans appear ready to nomninate. The choice is clear.

Unless Republicans change course, I'll be voting Constitution party.

Goode won on the first ballot, barley. Meaning 49% of the delegates voted against their only candidate with any semblance of name recognition let alone a record in office or any remote qualification to be President.

Must be a smart bunch.

On second thought maybe they couldn’t stomach that he used to be a democrat and supporter of Doug Wilder. If your party is gonna be pure it may as well be PURE, no? Half of the libertarian party hated Bob Barr.

Virgil Goode on the Issues

Virgil Goode appears to differ from the official Constitutional Party platform on social security and welfare. Which is good, because the party platform needs to be rethought.

Virgil Goode on Social Security...
"Social Security must be preserved for senior citizens and the disabled. Social Security and Medicare are lifesavers for millions of Americans. Millions have paid and are paying from their paychecks into the Social Security and Medicare Funds. The President and Congress should save Social Security and Medicare for those who have paid and are paying."

Constitution Party Platform....
"Social Security is a form of individual welfare not authorized in the Constitution." "The Constitution grants no authority to the federal government to administrate a Social Security system. The Constitution Party advocates phasing out the entire Social Security program, while continuing to meet the obligations already incurred under the system. Until the current Social Security system can be responsibly phased out, we propose that:"

Why is this silent about wars that have not been Constitutionally formally declared by Congress? This seems fundamental. The omission is glaring and subverts their message. Continuing the war and job-exporting policies of Republican and Democrats makes them no different than Romney and Obama.
