*David Essex - Rock On*
Hey kid, rock and roll Rock on, ooh, my soul Hey kid, boogey too, did ya
Hey shout, summertime blues Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes Hey kid, rock and roll, rock on
And where do we go from here Which is the way that's clear
Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen Prettiest girl I ever seen See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean (James Dean)
And where do we go from here Which is the way that's clear
Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen Prettiest girl I ever seen See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean Rock on Rock on Rock on
Hey, hey Rock and roll Rock on
Rock on Hey, hey Rock and roll Rock on
Rock on Hey, hey Rock and roll Rock on
Rock on Hey, hey Rock and roll Rock on........

*BAD COMPANY--Rock and Roll Fantasy*
Hey, yeah. Here come the jesters, one, two, three. It's all part of my fantasy, I love the music and I love to see the crowd, Dancing in the aisles and singing out loud, yeah.
Here come the dancers one by one, Your mamas calling but you're having fun You'll find you're dancing on a number nine cloud Put your hands together and sing it out loud
Its all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy, yeah. Its all part of my rock 'n' roll dream, yeah.
It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy. It's all part of my rock 'n' roll dream.
Put out the spot lights one and all And let the feeling get down to your soul The music's so loud you can here the sound Reaching for the sky churning up the ground
It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy. Its all part of my rock 'n' roll dream, oh, yeah. It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy. Its all part of my rock 'n' roll dream, yeah, yeah. Fantasy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Fantasy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

*Electric Light Orchestra - Rock 'N' Roll Is King*
Listen everybody let me tell you 'bout the rock 'n' roll Feel that rhythm and it's really gonna thrill your soul She said come along with me, to a land of make believe She said rock 'n' roll is king
She loves that rock 'n' roll and she plays it all night long That's all she ever tells me when I call her on the telephone She says feel that jumpin' beat, and git up on your feet She says rock 'n' roll is king
Chorus: Oh let those guitars play Play for me play for me Oh let that song ring out That's how it's meant to be
It rolls like a train that's comin' on down the track She rolled over Beethoven and she gave Tchaikovsky back She loves that drivin' beat, she goes dancin' on down the street She said rock 'n' roll is king
Repeat Chorus:
When she comes around and I'm listenin' to the radio She says you can't do that 'cause all I wanna do is rock 'n' roll Now here I'm gonna stay where that music starts to play She says rock 'n' roll is king

There is no such thing as a fave Rock tune.Rofl! I hear ya My...I was thinking of you this evening. What is your saying..."Live music is best, bumper stickers must be issued"????
To: Kathy in Alaska
My fave rock song, wait...there are so many....
Well, my fave Rolling Stones song is “you can’t always get what you want” since I think it rolls all the stones stuff into one really great song.
But I would think my fave rock song would have to be a Led Zepplin song and I guess, that would have to be (no not THAT one!) “Whole Lotta Love”.
Yeah, that’s a pretty rocking tune.
And you know Jefferson Airplane’s “Somebody to Love” is also right up there!
To: Fiji Hill
Thanks, as always, Fiji, for the video tunes for the troops to enjoy. ((HUGS))

Here are some songs from 1958, when rock music was coming under attack by the "square" community. In many of these songs, the rockers rise in defense of their genre.

Good evening, Kathy!
*HUGS*
Legs are pretty sketchy tonight - the Keystone Kops are a pretty sketchy, too. I QC'ed some work this afternoon - interesting, but I guess you have to make some allowances for the first day.
Seriously, I was really feeling the effects of last night's PT today. I couldn't have made it through the day without the walker. The lower back has been a problem all day, too. Don't mean to complain - it just seems that physically, everything is going to Hell at once.
Getting ready to hit the hay - will chat with you tomorrow. Hope you have a restful night!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
