In an exclusive, off-camera interview, the mother of an attempted rape victim, a young mother shot in the back while walking with her baby, told us her daughter is still fighting for her life.
She is in critical condition and still unable to breathe on her own.
Under arrest for the vicious attack is 18-year-old Job Hughley. Police say before shooting this woman in the back, he raped two other women, one on April 4 and the other on April 10.
The day before that, police believe he murdered Mike Cavanaugh in cold blood while he was taking a nap in Stoepel Park.
Meanwhile, people in the community say they still walk the streets with fear. Many told us that they carry guns, knives and even pepper spray just to go to the mailbox not knowing what they will face.

It does not excuse criminal behavior, but we can thank the progressives for creating a drug infested welfare population that breeds children that are complete sociopathic personalities incapable of empathy. They are feral because they grow up in crime/drug infested single parent homes that are chaotic and cold.
I strive to create a nurturing and educational environment for my children where morals are taught and they are loved. Many of these kids never experience any of that and everyone is afraid to blame the culture they grow up in because they might be accused of racism. I got news for them, it does not matter what color they are, it’s the culture they grow up in.
On top of that, many children born in the inner city are drug addicted or hopelessly damaged by alcohol. Child abuse is much more common. Pre-natal care is often non-existent. Don’t believe me? Just talk to a nurse at an inner-city hospital.
Mental health professionals can also talk about RAD or reactive detachment disorder in children and adults. This is a disorder that is very difficult to overcome where a child never bonds to a parent or anyone else. I have learned about it from good friends who adopted a young lady from a foreign nation and they have had a difficult time with her although she is getting better. She would not attach to her forever parents like the infant they adopted at the same time. Classic symptoms of RAD. Thinking back to the many children I knew in the inner-city and observed for many hours it makes more sense now.
The formative years of children are being destroyed by a failed culture that has been foisted upon our nation by the progressive left. They use tax dollars to subsidize and continue the failure. It’s a national sin and I am forever sad and bitter after having my face rubbed in it for years. Those are my thoughts after being an inner-city cop for many years, interviewing hundreds of young men and women involved in violent crimes, understanding their background, and trying to reason with the absolute waste of the most precious resource we have..... our children.
Our nation will spare no expense to save a child who falls into a well. Our nation is silent about all the children doomed to statistical failure within the inner-city culture. Their lives are in just as much danger as the child in the well, yet we are silent. I removed more children than I can remember from horrible conditions and saw them returned over and over until the courts finally said enough. Unfortunately, the intervention is usually too late despite all the warning signs being there.
Welfare and public housing is a blight on humanity that destroys lives. We can all cast stones at this feral evil creature, but the real conversation should ask what we can do to make this individual a rarity. It starts when they are kids!
We adopted a precious member of my family and I have another 15 years to prove my thoughts. I am certain that her life will be better for it. I know mine will and I thank God for her being in my house every day.

Obama wants us to cast stones. He wants to increase racial discord. It solidifies his base of victim interest groups and power-mad statists. Obama is the culmination of LBJ's policies, race pimping taken to the nth degree.
The children you speak of are the victims of the LBJs, Clintons and Obamas, the very men they think of as saviors. Meanwhile, someone like you who is truly working for their best interests, is, and I am guessing, castigated as racist for wanting to end these destructive programs.
Under all the fine sentiments and self-congratulations of the Great Society was calculated self interest: throw money at them and they will go away and stop bothering us. "We" could go back to our quasi-apartheid ways of previous generations and feel good about ourselves to boot.
Out of this strife will come more hatred, but also, perhaps, opportunity. Amidst the din of accusations, voices like yours will rise telling us all that we have been taking the wrong road all along. When conditions get bad enough, people may listen. It has happened that way before.

We live in rural Alaska, don’t have a single African American within 300 miles of our community and like it that way, no crime what-so-ever. Maybe once a summer, you’ll see a blk tourist from tour bus; but those are the high class non-criminal Africans. Indians make up half the community here, but they are real decent people, compared to the inner city scum you see on the tube. I almost can’t believe what I hear about concerning crime with those African Folks. Out here, everybody is armed, but for bear now that it is warming up.
