'Members of a pro-Palestinian campaign group have been refused travel from Manchester Airport to Israel.
Airline Jet2 said Israeli officials informed it 13 people booked on a flight to Ben Gurion airport would not be allowed into Israel.
A Jet2 spokesman said: "In light of this decision we were unable to accept them for travel."
The head of a Scottish pro-Palestine group, whose members were banned from flying, said it was atrocious.
Mick Napier and nine other people from the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign were stopped by the budget airline from boarding flight LS907.
They were part of a UK contingent making its way to Bethlehem for Welcome to Palestine 2012, a week-long series of conferences and events.
Meanwhile, about 30 pro-Palestinian activists were held by security forces at Ben-Gurion Airport neat Tel Aviv, according to the Israeli news service Haaretz.
They had arrived on a flight from Paris on Sunday, ahead of what Israeli police had estimated would be hundreds of activists for the Welcome to Palestine protest.
Haaretz also reported that activists were turned back at Brussels airport.'

These dopes seem to forget that Israel is a real entity, while Palestine is not..
"We appreciate your choosing to make Israel the object of your humanitarian concerns, We know there were many other worthy choices. You could have chosen to protest the Syrian regime's daily savagery against its own people, which has claimed thousands of lives".
"You could have chosen to protest the Iranian regime's brutal crackdown on dissent and support of terrorism throughout the world. You could have chosen to protest Hamas rule in Gaza, where terror organizations commit a double war crime by firing rockets at civilians and hiding behind civilians".
"But instead you chose to protest against Israel, the Middle East's sole democracy, where women are equal, the press criticizes the government, human rights organizations can operate freely, religious freedom is protected for all and minorities do not live in fear".
"Therefore we suggest to let you solve first the real problems of the region, and then come back and share with us your experience. Have a nice flight."
They should fly to Syria on Air-Syria airlines.
How does he reckon that? Few countries give foreign nationals an automatic right of entry. Israel is perfectly within her rights to refuse access to anyone.

1. ‘Flytilla’ Activists Receive ‘Welcome’ Letter from Israel
by Rachel Hirshfeld
The Israeli government has issued an official welcome letter to the pro-Palestinian flytilla activists who plan on arriving in the country on Saturday and Sunday. It reads as follows:
“We appreciate your choosing to make Israel the object of your humanitarian concerns.
We know there were many other worthy choices.
You could have chosen to protest the Syrian regimes daily savagery against its own people, which has claimed thousands of lives.
“You could have chosen to protest the Iranian regimes brutal crackdown on dissent and its support of terrorism throughout the world.
“You could have chosen to protest Hamas rule in Gaza, where terror organizations commit a double war crime by firing rockets at civilians and hiding behind civilians.
But instead, you chose to protest against Israel, the Middle Easts sole democracy, where women are equal, the press criticizes the government, human rights organizations can operate freely, religious freedom is protected for all - and minorities do not live in fear.
Therefore, we suggest you solve the real problems of the region first, and then come back and share your experiences with us.
Have a nice flight, the letter concludes.
The Israelis know how to deal with trouble - stop it at the border. Britain could learn something from them.
Are you shocked? I’m shocked too. It’s shocking! Seriously though, did you ever notice that the Lame Stream Media always say’s that “Palestinians are killed by Israelis ‘’ and Israelis are killed by ‘’rockets’’?
