How Might Gingrich Coax Romney to Concede?

phone RINGS. An AIDE answers.

AIDE

Governor, It’s Speaker Gingrich’s office.

Romney takes the phone.

GINGRICH AIDE (V.O.)

Hold for Speaker Gingrich.

MITT ROMNEY

Callista, is that you?

Reveal CALLISTA GINGRICH (40s, looks way over her head). She’s at a desk with NEWT GINGRICH (60s, looks 70s), dapper in his suit (Target’s Expensive Collection, $89 — $69 via Groupon).

CALLISTA GINGRICH

No, it’s not me. It’s not like we had to fire our staff because we ran out of money.

MITT

A lot of folks are suffering from being out of money, and I’ll tell you what I tell them: I have no idea what you’re talking about. End personal anecdote No. 12.

She hands the phone to Newt.

NEWT

Mitt! Don’t have much time, things are really busy here.

Reveal Newt’s desk is in the furniture section of Costco. Callista makes “busy office” noises.

NEWT

I’m dead serious. You conceding to me is the kind of big idea that I’ve made the hallmark of my campaign. Give me your delegates and become my vice-presidential nominee.

MITT

I’m not conceding to you. This isn’t something, like abortion rights, that you can just change your mind about.

NEWT

Hear me out. I’ve already got a slogan for us: “Newt and Mitt: Two Guys Without First Names for America.” You know, “America” was a guy’s first name, too, so there’s a real historical resonance. Or we could combine our names, like a celebrity couple — “Newtt!”

MITT

That’s just your name.

NEWT

But with two T’s!! We’re so much alike. You said you didn’t care about the very poor; I said poor kids should be janitors. Together we will wage the war on poverty — from the other side! Newtt!

The Times seems happy with the primary results.

Do not read this. Unless you're high.

Judging by the excerpt. I don't think there is a drug made to match the madness of liberalism.

The next media narrative will be to put Romney up over Obama enough to psyche out any conservative opposition.

They will be giving out carrots or a thump on the head to those who do not submit to the narrative.

If a ham sandwich can beat Obama right now, let us do it with the man for the job, who is actually an anti-establishment conservative, whom the socialist GOP-E and the Marxists despise.

Romney is the godfather to moral Marxism, on the issue of establishing their favorite planks; Obamacare; manipulating the Catholic Church in Massachusettes as is happening today; signing off on gay marriages there; individual mandates, and certainly deserves not support, but revulsion.

1144 is not here yet.

No...I made that mistake before.

The Coen brothers wrote/produced Fargo. Joel and Ethan Coen. Move the “h” from the first to the last name and you get the guy who wrote this column.

The Times really wants Newt to concede so they can run countless anecdotal stories about foibles within the Mormom church so they can pretend to "Swiftboat" Romney. It's going to be low, brutal and bloody. White shirts and ties will become highlighted fashion faux pau that will make Mormon's cringe.

Myth will be 'responsible' and answerable for it all. No tale will go untold. Obama will have personal revelations about being traumatized by Mormon missionaries while in Hawaii and Indonesia. Every financial error that has ever occured within an individual temple, every error in judgement by an elder, every instance of sin at any level is going to be taken apart and wondered about. The Concern Troll aspect of Times journalism is going to reach levels of cataclysmic proportion that will make Orson Welles envious.

The NY TImes and liberal journalists everywhere are salivating at the prospect of a Romney candidacy. I can see the political cartoons of Myth sitting next to McCain in a bar watching CNN and murmuring, "Remember when THEY liked us?"

Why the RNC and the GOP-e can't see this scenario is just beyond me. It will come to be known as the ultimate example of not being able to see the war from the enemies perspective. Political scientists will study this campaign for decades. The analogy between the Kerry campaign of 2004 and Myth's campaign of 2012 are similar and the PTB that ran both campaigns are blind to it.

TS
