President Barack Obama, stung by indications the Supreme Court may overturn his landmark health care law, reacted last week unlike a constitutional scholar, which he was at the University of Chicago, and more like a politician seeking reelection, which he is. The president pronounced: "I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress." Mr. Obama appeared to be warning the high court against overturning his signature legislative achievement, by invalidating an act of Congress. But even his defenders were quick to concede . . .

I see him in a more ominous way.
I think he was just testing the water to see how much he can get away with following this path. If he is stopped here he will try another way.
The irony I find in his statements, and there are many, is...
If true, his administration is petitioning the court to overturn DOMA.
If true, go figure.
Obama isn’t clueless. He is an ACORN/Marxist bullhorn street corner hustler who loves to stir up the crowds with demagoguery, lies and inciting bad behavior. To that end, he knows EXACTLY what he is doing.
I wish he would just go back to Chicago bathhouses and his prior lifestyle with Trent Lott and Bill Frist. He will agitate, stir the pot, fan the flames of race hatred, gender hated, wealth hatred, and offer no viable solutions to any problems.

Obama was never a “constitutional scholar”. If anything, he used what little legal training he was able to absorb to further the craft of “jailhouse lawyer” in trying to find loopholes he could utilize in OVERTURNING the intent of the letter of the Constitution.
Obama wouild NEVER turn to the coterie that follows him and ask for an explanation of some phrase or clause that seemed troublesome - he would use his God-voice and state the words were just wrong.
A lot like Benito Mussolini, who was greatly admired back in the early days of the New Deal under FDR. There was a guy who could get the railroads to run on time.
Obama’s first dealing with a foreign country after inaguration was to completely ignore Honduras’ constitution when the president of Honduras wanted to establish a permanent presidency in the footsteps of Hugo Chavez. Noone should be surprised when he ignores ours.

Please list his publications, invited lectures, and grants which would support the notion that he was a "constitutional scholar".
He was, of course, nothing of the sort.
