MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The federal government has warned Wisconsin officials the state's unemployment rate has improved enough to end extended jobless benefits.

Wisconsin's unemployment rate had been high enough to qualify jobless people in the state for 13 extra weeks of federal unemployment benefits. But the state's three-month average improved to 7 percent in February, making the state ineligible for the extra money.

Odumbo and his regime timed it to rev up the recall against Gov Walker.

It's so transparent, it's disgusting. This guy has done nothing for 4 years except find ways to get another 4 years.

"They will blame it on the republicans for taking their ‘benefits’ away...................."

Boy. That is without doubt what's going to happen when in reality its all those bused in union thugs that have gone home and fancy accounting that's going to save Americans a few dollars.

My opinion.

To liberals it is a bad thing.

Conservatives measure success by how many people come off the welfare rolls. Liberals measure success by how many people they put on the welfare rolls.

Walker is NOT going to be recalled. Too many folks know what he’s doing is working well. Government unions are hardly universally loved by anyone here.

More vivid illustrations of how the gubbermint rewards failure and punishes success.

If WI votes Walker out of office, they deserve every socialist plague that comes their way.

I think the net result will be that state that lose this funding will find their unemployment numbers accelerate downward. People are going to take jobs they need instead of riding out benefits looking for the job they want.

Structurally I think the norm for unemployment will still be higher than what we are used to as employers still worry about Obamacare.

Punishing Walker all over again for being successful. Doing it by hurting the people who might vote for him. Machiavelli would have been hard pressed to come up with a scheme this dastardly...or is it bastar....never mind. Same difference anyway.

I’m not aware that it is LEGAL (ewww...that word Barry has been getting beat up with lately) to cut off ONE state arbitrarily from a Federal Program. But I’m sure that so called AG will find a way to make it “legal.”

Odumbo and his regime timed it to rev up the recall against Gov Walker.

Switch it around. Tell people that the extra benefits stopped because Odumbo's stimulus worked. heehee

You hit the nail on the head. That is exactly what they are going to do. I bet they will also throw a “blame Bush” on there too.

Let's see ... Gov. Walker improves the state's economy enough the Obama regime ends federal unemployment benefits just ahead of the recall election headed by Obama's allies.

Total coincidence I'm sure.

Whoa this is bad news for Bobo in a state that he simply cannot afford to lose. Imagine trotting down to the Unemployment Office to get yo check, and being told that your Extended FEDERAL Benefits are no longer available to you, Cheese-Eating Schlub, after your EUC expires, oh, say, around the time of the first debate!

And all you did, rube, was get laid off at the end of the worst unemployment cycle in the modern era...bad timing, eh, Schlub?

Bobo won't miss Schlub's vote in a state he can't afford to lose, lol.

Wisconsin should tell the Feds to take their money and shove it.

Why doesn’t the Federal government simply borrow more money? That’s what they do in every other instance.

Gee, we have to cut unemployment benefits so that the money can go to our labor union friends.

Obama is Huey Long.

Too many people in this country and Wisconsin look at getting off welfare is a bad thing. They don’t want an improving economy and they don’t want no stinking jobs, just more handouts.
