Can't the moderators spot and ban these creeps. I hate what they're doing to the FR forum more than anything. This has been my lifeline for years. No, it's not always polite but never viscious and destructive like this year.

Ignoring them didn't help and neither did trying to turn the conversation. They're on a mission.

"This is what happens when conservatives don't put up a compelling alternative most of us can agree on."

This is what happens when 5 conservatives no-one-can-quite-entirely-agree-upon show up at the party after the compelling alternative decides to stay home and cash the $2,000,000 check life has written her.

Is Wasserman-Schultz delusional on Greta right now?

She's challenging Greta that Harry Reid is not willing to put a budget on the Senate floor. She's saying that she totally expects Reid to put a budget on the floor. She's challenging Greta's position that Reid is stalling in the Senate.

This is nuts!

Everybody knows that Reid already said that he deems a budget to have been passed and will not take one up.

Greta kept taking a step back by telling Wasserman-Schultz that she's in the House and can't speak for the Senate, but Greta let her off the hook on her role as Chair of the DNC. From that position, Wasserman-Schultz should be held to explain why the Democrats won't put a budget on the table for discussion.

Greta is saying that it is no longer acceptable to just have a GOP/Ryan plan as the only budget on the table, in order for the process to continue.

Wasserman-Schultz made the Democrats look very weak on this.

Yep. Exactly. It ain’t over. We can deny MITTSER the numbers, and if not, we can create HOLY CONSERVATIVE HELL at the RINOFEST PARTY CORONATION IN TAMPA through everything from planks/platform, rules committee, nominating speeches, you name it. That’s what I say we do rather than lay down and get screwed John McCain 2008 style. The minute we take the pressure off them (GOP-e/MSM/RINO Central joined at the hip), we have marginalized ourselves. They could not give two belches for the grassroots conservative Reagan faction of the GOP.

Two events in this primary are what gave us Romney. Just two.

First, all of the Palin supporters refused to believe that she wouldn’t run, despite the fact that she did nothing to prepare for it (no state organizations, no signatures to get on ballots). And that resulted in a large number of conservatives not even bothering to look at the declared candidates. Furthermore, that delayed any chance of us gelling behind a declared candidate to stop Romney. So, by the time the deluded fools finally figured it out, they ended up panicking and jumping from candidate to candidate without really looking them over.

And secondly, our marvelous social conservatives completely *FORGOT ALL ABOUT HOW THE TEA PARTY WON IN 2010*. They *HAD* to go and look for the next Pope of America, instead of the next President. Which, mind you, was *NOT* the formula that got us the overwhelming victory in 2010. That came from focusing on our out-of-control debt and spending, our lack of jobs, and how the government has become an overwhelming behemoth controlling every aspect of our lives.

But *NOOOOO*, we couldn’t rally around *THAT*!!! Why, that *WORKS*!!! That *WON*!!!

No.

We needed a POPE!!!

And now we all going to suffer because of this.

My level of disgust at how so many forgot that formula for success so quickly... knows no bounds.

I think so.. I’ll be surprised if Newt is in the race at this point. I would like to know what has Santorum done in the Senate that was considered Conservative??

Take it up with someone else, then. I never recall posting anything virulently anti-Gingrich, and I never crashed a “Gingrich” thread (either strongly in support of him, or happy about something he did, organizing for him, etc. etc.). What would be the point? (Outside of it also violating Freeper protocol and manners). p> I have been either strongly pro-Cain and then pro-Santorum, and always very strongly anti-Romney. You won’t find much else outside of that, though. Good luck with the Speaker, though. Whatever.

“Pattonesque” VISUALLY.. Obviously. The content of his speech was good, but full flag backdrop inferred some comparison to Patton.. Not a good idea but if you separate the content from the corny visual, the speech was at least PRO AMERICAN. There were corny lines, yes, but.. Wake up! We’re not stuck with 0bama forever.. I hope. I’d take Romney’s dog on top of the station wagon over 0bama ANY DAY.

Gain an aggregate A+\B- Conservative rating from a cross section of conservative ranking organizations.

Are you one of those dignified Romper Room, playground bully conservatives who constantly goad and taunt for a fight around here?

Look at my history. I have never been anything of the sort. Because I am neutral and don't froth at the mouth with vile hate for Romney, somehow makes me a Romney supporter according to you.

I don't like Romney and I have never liked Romney, but if he gets the nomination, which it certainly looks like he will, then I will support him. And that does not mean I have to like it but there is little choice left.

If I ever make a report in polls or trends that Romney just so happens to be winning, I am not the one to blame. Like I told you earlier, those of you who insisted on going for Santorum the way you did, would more than likely guarantee a Romney win. Well here it is, enjoy it; You earned it.

It doesn't matter. If Rick somehow pulled off the nomination over Romney, great. He's head and shoulders better than Mitt. He's managed his campaign money to stretch Nationally when it wasn't enough to be regional.

Mitt on the other hand thinks it's Monopoly money, throws it around like there's some magic money tree to just grab more from. Wait, that sounds like every other politician in Washington. DUH!

Anyway, if Santorum can just get us to a brokered convention we'll have hope for another candidate. And if we pray hard enough we might just win.

Tell me, how will “Rick” win the nomination with Arkansas?

After tonite, he will have to win over 80% of all the remaining delegates. And since most of them are closed “proportional”, that is now impossible.
