Obama says he will ‘respect’ Supreme Court's ruling on his healthcare law

President Obama softened his rhetoric Tuesday about the possibility of a Supreme Court decision striking down his healthcare reform law, after Republicans accused him of “threatening” the high court. (Snip) Obama said Tuesday that he would respect the court’s opinion, but still believes the justices should not overturn the healthcare law. “The point I was making is that the Supreme Court is the final say on our Constitution, and all of us have to respect it,” he said. “But it’s precisely because of that extraordinary power that the court has traditionally exercised significant restraint and deference to a duly elected

Ubama is incredibly thin-skinned.

One of these days he's going to lash out and expose himself for the Godless cretin he really is.

No, he doubled down again against America:

“The burden is on those who would overturn a law like this,” Obama said Tuesday.

The court heard three days of oral arguments about the healthcare mandate last week, and the justices’ questioning indicated that there’s a very good chance they could strike down the mandate — and perhaps the entire law.

Obama reiterated that he believes the mandate is constitutional and expects the court to uphold it. The White House is therefore “not spending a whole bunch of time” looking at alternatives in case the mandate falls, he said.

“I don’t anticipate the court striking this down,” he said. “I think they take their responsibilities seriously.”

What’s really funny about this whole thing is that he’s more than willing to go around Congress with EOs if he feels “we can’t wait.”

He just goes from one side of the fence the other. Hence, they cancel each other out and he makes everyone happy. Right???

He's disgusting.

Bwahahahaha!

The Chicago thugs who advise him finally figured out that his previous remarks were backfiring.

So now we have this feeble walkback.

I’m betting that she’s the better reader and/or only rates one prompter, judging by Nickelodeon’s recent MO-hole-kissing spree.

Kagan’s report to him must have been bad news. If the news had been good (for him) he would have shut up. Why irritate the Supremes if the news was good? Leave well enough alone.

Since Kagan’s report was bad he had nothing to lose by irritating them and trying to intimidate. I can’t imagine that they will be intimidated by this cheap thug.

Obama says he will ‘respect’ Supreme Court's ruling on his healthcare law

Uh oh - everyone knows that Obama is a serial liar.

But it's a trick statement (as usual) that needs to be parsed carefully to understand what Obama really means. Of course he will 'respect' the ruling if it goes in his favor. All bets are off otherwise.

This statement is just give him some "space" to allow him to dump some of the heat that he's taking about his previous strident statements about the Court. But like any cornered animal, he can be dangerous, so it's important to keep the focus on what he is planning to do to subvert the will of the people.

Of course if he gets re-elected (perish the thought), he plans to be as "flexible" on this issue as he is on the question of missile defense with the Russians.
