35 Romney endorsers received contributions first

Money may not be buying Mitt Romney much Republican love, but it’s going a long way toward helping him buy the next best thing: endorsements in the GOP primaries.

Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC and its affiliates states have lavished close to $1.3 million in campaign donations to federal, state and local GOP politicians, almost all since 2010. His recipients include officials in the major upcoming primary states of New Hampshire and South Carolina, and in three southern Super Tuesday states where he was trounced four years ago.

In New Hampshire, a U.S. senator, a congressman, 10 state senators and three executive councilors shared $26,000 in donations from Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC in 2010 and 2011 combined. All 15 have showered Romney with endorsements leading up to Tuesday’s primary

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley came out for Romney last month – a year after his Free and Strong America PACs funneled $36,000 to the Tea Party darling’s 2010 election bid. And 19 state and Washington, D.C., lawmakers in three Super Tuesday states – Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia — are backing Romney after his PAC poured a total of $125,500 into their coffers for elections held in 2009 and 2010.

That much is obvious. I am surprised he didn’t pay more for those so called ‘endorsements’.

Romney thought he could buy this nomination and it looks like he was right.

What I am curious about is how many endorsements did he NOT pay for? I am betting very few.

Interesting. When salon has something about someone we like, they’re part of the MSM.

Now they’re a valid source.

And I'm sure you have evidence to dispute all the facts in the article.

Salon? What, “mother jones” or “the nation” wasn’t covering this?

Looks like some sold their miserable souls for a pretty cheap price. I guess Romney is pretty good at spotting a fellow fake conservative and knowing that they'll flip for a pittance.

if you want to be informed, late though it may be, you must read “Battle Hymn...the sinister New World order”, by DDane Phillips and John Souris. Not only will you be dismayed, you will be amazed! And because we slept though it all, we deserve what will be surely coming if we do not repent our many sins and return to almighty God and His Son, Christ Jesus!

I do not. Just noting the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” mentality.

We’re stuck with Romney. As far as I can see, there aren’t many options.

We can make the best of it, or we can throw a collective tantrum and try to survive Obama’s second term.

Suggest you steel yourself for the latter, since Romney will never win in November.

But, at least with a Republican House and Senate we’ll have a clear opponent to counter rather than a weak Quisling of our own Party.

Well, at least you have made it up to January 7th. That's progress.

So what is your plan, to resurrect every worn out hit piece you can find? Is this supposed to turn the election around all of a sudden and give Santorum the nomination?

After all, these articles have all come and gone without the desired effect, so what makes you think they are really going to make a difference now?

“But, at least with a Republican House and Senate we’ll have a clear opponent to counter rather than a weak Quisling of our own Party.”

And I suggest to you that a second Obama term will be unrestrained even with a Republican Congress. I say this because, Republicans have shown themselves to be beholden to the media. They always want to look good, and try not to irritate their media “friends”. And, Obama has already flaunted the constitution in his first term with no repercussions.

Obama will do as he pleases, and if Congress tries to stop him, (not likely, think: Boehner and McConnell), he’ll simply do what he wants anyway.

In my opinion, like it or not, Romney is our best chance.

I think you better get used to the idea of a second Obama term anyway. Romney’s wins have come in Obama strongholds that will go to Obama in the fall. He can’t possibly pick up every area he stepped over or brushed aside on his way to the nomination. Meanwhile Rick Santorum has won 937 counties compared to 432 for Romney.

Better to worry about holding the house and taking the senate than wasting a vote on Mittens.

1. You don't mind if we slog through the rest of the primaries do you, before we declare Mitt Romney the winner?
2. I'll leave it up to you more intelligent, more ethical, more moral types to support Romney in the general election. As for my family, my friends, and myself, we have better things to do than vote for the "Father of Gay Marriage in America".
3. You're throwing your vote away. Romney can't win. His left-wing, Progressive Liberal record will be used to bludgeon his candidacy to death.

What's wrong, your boy's record bother you?

Can't find anything positive to say about Romney?

Refute the article, if you can.

Still using the cowardly tactic of whining about the date of the article.

My, how the mighty have fallen.

And Romney has 565 Delegates to Santorums 256; What exactly is your point? That the elections are now decided by how many counties vote in the election and the count is all wrong?

Never mind, it's hopeless to even try to debate with you ........

1. You don't mind if we slog through the rest of the primaries do you, before we declare Mitt Romney the winner?

Not at all. But you do realize, even Gingrich has acknowledged Romney will win. I'd bet real money on Romney at this point.

2. I'll leave it up to you more intelligent, more ethical, more moral types to support Romney in the general election. As for my family, my friends, and myself, we have better things to do than vote for the "Father of Gay Marriage in America".

It's the lesser of two evils. I'm not telling you, your mind is made up, that's fine. But maybe someone reading this will understand that pragmatism sometimes is all you have.

3. You're throwing your vote away. Romney can't win. His left-wing, Progressive Liberal record will be used to bludgeon his candidacy to death.

I don't think so. I'm in the blue part of Ohio. People are hurting, and they're noticing the garbage from Obama. High gas prices, the insincere response, the disenchantment with Obama by the center right media, the open mike gaffe, the racial tensions made worse over the Martin case.
Think about it, you tell me to hang in for the primary process, then you say, once it's decided, give up, you can't win. You're a bit conflicted. I hold hope that Romney can be better than we expect. I'm absolutely sure, he'll be better than Obama.

Oh, the “Mighty have fallen” alright, and you are beating a dead horse. But go ahead, knock yourself out till the cows come home. It won’t change a thing by tomorrow morning, or by next week for that matter.

Some folks simply can’t face the fact that Romney is a disaster of his own making. They seem to know he will lose so are already seeking someone to blame.

As far as I’m concerned they can blame themselves for painting his butt with lipstick.

Yup, you're right.

Seems the only things inevitable about this elections are:

1. Obama wins in a landslide if Romney is the nominee
2. Self-righteous losers will be blaming us for Romney's dismal performance, if though we warned them loud and long.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out. Rush pointed it out early on. Romney is winning like a liberal and stands little chance of winning over the people that he himself has insulted.

Personally, I have doubts that the GOP had any intent of taking the white house at this point. Why should they when they can simply blame their own failings on Obama?
