South Bay Rep. Maxine Waters on Wednesday characterized the shooting of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin as a "hate crime" during an appearance on CNN.
"There are too many unanswered questions and I really, personally, believe this is a hate crime," Waters said during a joint early morning television interview with Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo.
Martin, a 17-year-old African-American, was fatally shot last month by George Zimmerman, a Neighborhood Watch leader. Zimmerman, who was not charged with a crime, has said he acted in self-defense after Martin punched him. Zimmerman has a white father and Latino mother.

That Maxine. She’s always a step ahead.
My sympathies to her district. But, then, you get what you vote for.
Blacks can’t commit “hate-crimes” no matter how full-of-hate they are, can they Max?
Maybe it is a hate crime.
Maybe Mr. Zimmerman hated being beaten.
It must have been all those unanswered questions that convinced her.
Well, as long as SHE says it, then it MUST be true!
Maxine Waters is a hate crime..

Did Trayvon hate hispanics?
"I DON'T KNOW NUTTIN BOUT NO BANK"
Hey,Maxine...read the kid’s “tweets” and tell us what you think.Looking at them how would rate his chances of having become a brain surgeon, rocket scientist or a Bill Cosby if he had lived.
I heard Zimmerman tutored black kids? Any article on that?
A seat in Congress can’t be safer than Maxine’s. Except maybe Jackson-Lee in Houston. That’s pretty safe too.
Waters and Cleaver are also card carrying members of the Communist Party.
(Oh! I thought after posting...Kookcinich thought he was safe...)
I’ve heard on the news today that Zimmerman is being called a white Hispanic. Kind of “racey” don’t you think.
Your face is a hate crime!
Maxine has her own sports team! Check out Captain Kelly Ripa-Nipalov.
During the 911 calls Mr. Zimmerman never mentioned the race of Mr. Martin. I don’t understand how at night, from a considerable distance, Mr. Zimmerman could determine the race of a person wearing a hoodie. To him it would be someone acting suspicious of indeterminate race.
