Newt just whacked his campaign Manager (I thought he was the Manager) and cut staff. I think it is time to recognize that Romney is the guy we’re taking to the dance.

You take him. I don't want to be date raped afterward the dance so I'm not going.

How many times do you have to be told many conservatives find Romney unacceptable and will not vote for him under any circumstances?

If Romney is the nominee, we're going to end up with four more years of Obama.

Between Romney and Santorum, at least Romney has a chance to beat Obama

Sure...Romney's negatives are already over 50% before Obama has even thrown a punch at him. Romney guarantees millions of conservatives either won't vote or will vote third party.

Character and principles matter to conservatives and Romney has neither.

Here are the facts, they are what they are. The voters decide, not you, or people like you.

You know, that when it comes down to reality and who ever gets the nomination, the choice is clear. And it does not include Obama.

And there are lots and lots of Conservatives who do support Romney. Maybe not on this forum, but obviously, Romney would not be in the lead if that were not a fact. Again, it is what it is. You also have to consider, that you are not in charge of dictating reality. It happens all on it's own.

After today and the news that Paul is dropping out and that Newt is very near dropping out, Romney's numbers will go even higher and Santorum’s will drop. Especially after Wisconsin. Again, reality is tough to take some times. And in part, the Conservative side, is mostly to blame for being so unstable since the race started.

What has he been getting 20% of the conservative vote?

Despite being the clear frontrunner, he just got destroyed in Louisiana because the majority of conservatives can't stand him.

As the nominee, he will lose millions of votes of the base and, ultimately, will make him unelectable.

Enjoy four more years of Obama.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/president_obama_vs_republican_candidates.html

Here are the facts.......And Romney now leads Santorum by close to 10 points on the average.

And as far as Romney getting 20% of the conservative vote, nobody really knows. And what does it matter anyway? The facts are, he is winning and leading. He is also the strongest candidate against Obama.

So, until we have a clear nominee, you can not really say that Obama is a sure winner either way. We will have to see how it all plays out and we have to reach that point in time first. All this pontification and projectionist, defeatist rhetoric will not win anything either. That is a guarantee.

RE: Who is Ed Morrissey’s candidate? Does anybody know?

RICK SANTORUM. He endorsed him explicitly in a column he wrote on February.

To have something slip away assumes prior possession; obviously a fallacy in this case.

RE: To have something slip away assumes prior possession; obviously a fallacy in this case.

The article is referring to the polls. In which case, yes, Santorum had a huge double digit lead before in PA. Not anymore.
