It appears when this is all over even Santorum is ready to put aside differences for the good of the nation or is he just "taking another one for the team"?

“Santorum open to being Romney’s running mate”

No surprise here. It’s been his plan all along.

LOL if loose lips sink ships then this buffoon could sink the Titanic!! What a dolt. It is getting to be funny how this guy gets on the radio or TV and just rattles on about this and that and never says a thing that amounts to a hill of beans?

I will be so glad when St. Rick goes back to lighting candles and lobbying for his living. YUCK the guy is nauseating.

"Of course. I mean, look. I would do in this race as I always say, this is the most important race in our country's history. I'm going to do everything I can. I'm doing everything I can."

Then why didn't you get out before Florida Rick?

And Newt was open to having Romney as a running mate, but that’s overlooked /sarc

If Mitt Romney becomes the Republican presidential nominee, rival Rick Santorum would not rule out the idea of becoming his running mate, the former Pennsylvania senator said in an interview on Monday.

Well, to be fair, Rick does have bills to pay.

Santrorum is the Republican answer to Joe “Foot-In-The-Mouth” Biden.

I’m not sure I would vote for such a ticket. I wonder if I would even vote for Romney if Palin were asked to be the running mate.

I can’t imagine Romney choosing either Santorum or Gingrich. That would just make it easier for the democrats to run advertisements with all the negative things they said against Romney during the campaign.

Around here, it’s common for people to suggest putting whoever their favorite candidate is on the ticket with whoever looks like they might win. But the fact is that, unless Romney actually needs the support at the convention, it is unlikely the VP will be chosen from the crop of candidates.

In fact, if there WAS a person in the current crop who Romney might actually pick, my bet would be on Rick Perry. I don’t expect it, but I will say that if the VP is anybody who ran for President, I expect it would be Rick.

But in fact, I don’t expect it to be Rick. I don’t know who Romney will pick. I hope he doesn’t pick Rubio, because I’d hate to lose him from the Senate. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he picked Jeb Bush if he thought he needed to be certain of Florida.

Otherwise, it could be Pawlenty if we are looking at a Governor. Beyond that, there are a lot of conservatives who might well help Romney with the base in the same way Palin helped McCain.

I would be shocked if he picked Gingrich, because Gingrich has no natural constituency to bring to the table. Georgia is going to vote Republican in any case, as is South Carolina. Santorum might give us Pennsylvania, which would be a big deal, so I guess Santorum would be better than picking Christie or another RINO.

I couldn’t see Romney picking him, but I believe a conservative like Santorum would help keep Romney in line.
