COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A free annual Easter egg hunt held in Old Colorado City was canceled because "aggressive" parents were grabbing too many eggs for their children.
Thousands of candy-filled plastic eggs are scattered across Bancroft Park every year for children to find and collect, KXRM reported.
But organizers said some parents were too aggressive and took too many of the eggs, leaving some children empty-handed.

We solved this....We have hunts at home. Much more fun especially when you wake them up in the middle of the night and they’re goofier than usual. So fun!! Then they go back to sleep until noon. So fun!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this once before in New Jersey. I took my sister-in-law’s 3 year old to an Easter Egg hunt and the beautiful child was mowed down by adults and older children. The event was never held again. Welcome to modern day America!
simple solution, adults are not allowed to touch the eggs.
The mass hunts were fun. This is just pc meets hover mom.

That’s what they did in our town....There were 2 areas...one for the tots and one for others. NO BIG KIDS ALLOWED.
We always had one “sucker” egg. We learned to shake them.

Everyone Gets A Trophy is bad enough but it’s worse when the parents get into the act.
It reminds me of ‘My Child Was Citizen Of The Week At Lenin Elementary’ bumper stickers. What, one wonders, are the criteria for such an award, assuming there are any criteria at all? Walking upright? Breathing? Saying the Pledge of Allegiance?
In our current climate of mollycoddling illegal aliens, is any award for citizenship a target for the PC brigade?

In my day, the parents used that time to keep their kids busy and allow them to have some adult conversation. Wow, now I feel old....
This is what happens when something is “free”, whether it’s health care, food stamps or Easter eggs.
My memory is so bad I could have an Easter Egg hunt all by myself. Lay them out in the morning and look for them all day long!
Why don’t they just hand each child an equal number of eggs? Why even make them work for it...let’s get them indoctrinated into liberalism early.
