Our Top Counterterrorism Officer Is a Convert to Islam
National Review ^ | March 25, 2012 | Daniel Foster

Posted on 03/25/2012 5:00:55 AM PDT by Salman

The man with the nicotine habit is in his late 50s, with stubble on his face and the dark-suited wardrobe of an undertaker. As chief of the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center for the past six years, he has functioned in a funereal capacity for al-Qaeda.

Roger, which is the first name of his cover identity, may be the most consequential but least visible national security official in Washington — the principal architect of the CIA’s drone campaign and the leader of the hunt for Osama bin Laden. In many ways, he has also been the driving force of the Obama administration’s embrace of targeted killing as a centerpiece of its counterterrorism efforts.

Colleagues describe Roger as a collection of contradictions. A chain-smoker who spends countless hours on a treadmill. Notoriously surly yet able to win over enough support from subordinates and bosses to hold on to his job. He presides over a campaign that has killed thousands of Islamist militants and angered millions of Muslims, but he is himself a convert to Islam.

Not sure what the gist of your post is.
Do your "feel" that this person is unable to carry out their assigned missions?
Do you think that somehow their mission results have been less than required due to his chosen faith?
Do yo have evidence that this person has been less than qualified and compromised due to their conversion to Mohammedanism?
Just asking?

from he Washington Post - “..grew up in a family where several members, across two generations, have worked at the agency.”

nepotism has been the downfall of many organizations.

How much more is there??

Mohammedanism?

Not familiar with this term. Much more familiar with the term that means "SUBMISSION."

But how could that be an issue?

9/11 is all the evidence I need.

Not necessarily a bad thing, especially since his conversion was for marriage.

I wonder if he embraces 0bama’s vow to stand with them if the “political winds change direction?”

I’m willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. It could be a case of “conversion” in order to better understand the mindset of your enemy.

The gist is that if this is true, we have a(nother) traitor in high places.

Islam is not a religion. It is a political ideology masquerading as a religion which has vowed to overcome Western culture by any means necessary.

Ergo, if true, this man holds a view that could at any moment call him to abandon any allegiance to America and express in the most violent way possible, his allegiance to Islam.

Have you not seen this?

The pResident, a supposed former mooselimb, that claims to have been converted to Christianity, {forget the birth certificate, where is the Baptism Certificate?} thinks that the islamic call to prayers is the most beautiful sound in the world {his own book}.

When obummer was on georgie stepinofflust progrom he said, "I'm grateful that mcpain hasn't made an issue over my mooselimb faith".

Georgie corrected him and said, "Your Christian Faith", errr, oh, yeah, my Christian Faith.

How many of you that are Christian have ever mistakenly called Jesus, allah?

Have ever called yourself a mooselimb by mistake?

It is not even a remote possibility that a Christian would refer to their religion as islam. The only person that could say that would be a person that thought of themselves as a mooselimb.

Actually you should care.

Here is why:

First is to understand that Islam as a theocratic regime has a few tactics we Americans consistently overlook. We overlook them due to our own naivete in many cases. FReepers are likely to understand the context of having a muslim/islamist as our top counterterrorsim officer, most Americans will not. So what are these tactics we so willing overlook?

Taqiyya, which literally means concealment of one’s true beliefs. While we westerners translate as meaning the islamist can lie to your face and still be honorable to their god.

Islamic Martyrdom, To understand this we have to understand the mindset of Muslims. Muslims are taught that this life is worthless. (Read here: http://alisina.org/martyrdom-in-islam/) It would not be far-fetched that this Officer has no compunction against martyring his fellow islamics for Allah. In fact, he is assuring them heaven.

And lastly there is the idea of the need for middle east chaos to give rise to the mahdi. How convenient that the United States can be used as THE tool to create the needed chaos.

I am taking for granted much of this you must surely already be aware of, but perhaps laying out how an islamist in key positions who “keep killing the muzzies,” may not be as beneficial as you think.

Excellent post...we really need to understand their mindset-or at least be aware of it. They live in a totally different world than us and it might as well be a different planet.

Good points, EBH; grist for thought...

My first thoughts was that he was feigning being one of them, in deference to his wife, but that may be also a *red flag* to warn us. Thanks.

Also if Al-Qaeda gets its act together they can blackmail Mr Muzzie via his wife. Find out who she is then start kidnapping and cutting up family members over there

Do your “feel” that this person is unable to carry out their assigned missions?

If the person is a Muslim, yes.

Do you think that somehow their mission results have been less than required due to his chosen faith?

If the person is a Muslim, yes.

Do yo have evidence that this person has been less than qualified and compromised due to their conversion to Mohammedanism?

The “evidence” is a big hole at the south end of Manhattan Island, along with thousands of other acts of terrorism perpetrated in the name of muhammed.

If they are Islamic, whether “converted” or not, they pose a clear and present danger to our way of life.

Just asking?

Indeed you were, and these are my answers.
I realize the opinion is only my own, and that yours may be different.
It will NOT change mine.

"Mohammedanism" is term I use to point out that, IMO, Islam is not a religion as much as it is a cult of personality based on this "Mohammad" guy.
I also agree that it is a socio/economic system rather than an actual religion.

My questions were put forth in hopes of a discussion re:whether a person who has made this choice, converting to Islam, would be considered able to do this particular work in a manner acceptable to his/her superiors.
In this day and time it is a pertinent subject. I think that it deserves scrutiny and consideration of the pros & cons.
As to the 9/11 comments, while I understand, and share, the emotional content of those statements, I just can't connect the dots to this person in assigning blame or guilt to them for those terrible actions.

Anyway, thanks for the replies. This subject is a relevant one;and I think it will surface more in the future.

Anything further shoot me a PM... ;)

Is he Sunni or Shi’ite? How do we know that he is not and Islamist? What mosque does he attend? I hope the FBI is looking into this, in between sensitivity training sessions from Muslim Brotherhood groups in the US.
