On MSNBC last week, Democratic Party strategist Karen Finney blamed talk radio king Rush Limbaugh for the fatal shooting last month of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin by a neighborhood watch captain in a mixed neighborhood in Florida.
Limbaugh, along with Republican presidential candidates Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney, "reinforce and validate old stereotypes that associate the poor and welfare as criminal behavior with African Americans and people of color, calling us lazy, undeserving recipients of public assistance," Finney said.
In the Trayvon Martin incident, Finney claimed "those festering stereotypes had lethal consequences."
One might ask how Finney knows that Martin's half-Peruvian killer, George Zimmerman (whose photo suggests he's a person of color himself), listens to Limbaugh or has been affected by the candidates' speeches.
As in ex-Rep. Gabby Giffords' shooting last year, this is a case of a Democratic mouthpiece accusing foes of their big-government schemes of murder. So much for President Obama's call for civility in political discourse.
But Finney is just one manifestation of a new war aiming to silence Limbaugh and like-minded talk radio hosts. After Limbaugh several weeks ago used rude words to describe a Georgetown law school feminist activist who wants taxpayers to finance her contraception, the Los Angeles city council last week entered the realm of government censorship of the airwaves.
By 13-to-2 vote the L.A. City Council called on "management of radio and television stations in Los Angeles to do everything in their power to ensure that their on-air hosts do not use and promote racist and sexist slurs over public airwaves in the City of Los Angeles."

This kind of crime happens in and around Detroit every *WEEK.* Nobody is immune; babies as young as 6 months have been shot this year alone.
The only thing preventing Detroiters from blaming “those people” in the suburbs is that Detroit hasn’t had a Republican in office in over 40 years.
These murders are probably the only crimes they’re NOT blaming on whites.

(notice the personal and emotional response that permeates from this definition)
Our more conservative dictionary founded by one of our very influential Founding Fathers, Daniel Webster, tells us that a stereotype is something conforming to a fixed or general pattern. (notice the short and concise, crisp definition)
It seems to me that the more overused stereotype is used by the left who have a “fixed or general pattern” of race-baiting absolutely every debate and pandering to the overly politically-correct crowd that stands for nothing and falls for everything.
The police report list three adult witnesses, and a second officers observations of injuries to Zimmerman in the nose and back of the head. Was he listening to Bose speakers when talk radio did all that? Arrest those speakers at once.
Al Sharpton is missing his call, he's not representing all of these people.....Maybe all the different locations would be tough for him to cover (sarcasm).

Am I the only person who watched Hannity and Greta tonight? Both had excellent programs. Shawn’s show was all about the nasty things that liberals say and nobody cares. Sarah was on and Star Parker gave one of the best explanations I’ve heard on why blacks go nuts over black conservatives. Greta’s whole show was a Rush interview. Yet I can’t find a thread on this.

The shooting happened almost a month ago, where the hell has the media been since then? Seems to me they are trying everything to incite a race war. I read to my Mom what the left has been saying and she said “Only idiots will believe this garbage, and those idiots Obama already has voting for him so this won’t hurt one bit” she’s right..who will believe this garbage, only morons..and those morons are already going to vote for Obama so we never had a shot at them anyway. Blacks will vote for him no matter what, but if this incident keeps building, it might be seen as anti latino. When after the facts finally come out and if it is interpreted as blacks unfairly dumping on an innocent latino, it could surpress the latino vote for Obama, who otherwise would have supported him strongly.
