It's so heartening to know that the brilliant Thomas Sowell is a Newt supporter!

Dr. Sowell says everything that I do believe in. He puts everything into perspective. I love him. Too bad, Rush would not let him come back and host his program for a day. Really miss those days of Dr. Sowell speaking to us. What a naional treasure. Go, Newt (prayers for you)

This election is not going to be good.

If Romney does what many of us expect, it will almost be worse than if Zer0 was re-elected.....ALMOST..

The only thing that I can say is that a Romney POTUS MUST be accompanied with a veto-proof Congress, so that if Romney goes completely off the conservative rails, the Congress can act on their own....

...well, I can wish can't I?

May as well stay home if Romney gets the nomination and no third party candidate runs. Praying for Rick Santorum. Hoping for a third party candidate if that doesn't pan out.

Thomas Sowell is one of the greats that have endorsed Newt. The true conservatives and the brilliant are with the Speaker.

Unfortunately, Americans hate “vision” and will not tolerate a visionary.

What Americans want is a vanilla personality with a glib tongue, oily hair, and a TV host personality - preferably one with no ideas at all, who won’t “rock the boat.”

“The question is not which Republican looks better against Barack Obama in the polls today, before the general election campaign begins. The question is which Republican can take the fight to Barack Obama…” Dr. Sowell writes.

“The biggest fighting issue for Republicans is ObamaCare. Can the author of RomneyCare as governor of Massachusetts make that an effective issue by splitting hairs over state versus federal mandates?”

He contends that Gov. Romney has not extricated himself from the cloud of controversy surrounding RomneyCare, and that whatever funding he has will not be able to undo this.

Mitt Romney does not generally exhibit ease with the more non-economic, “heart of the nation,” national issues, a factor that likely affects his inability to convey a vision for the country that goes beyond what a CEO of a company might put forward. As Thomas Sowell recently told Fox Business News’ Neil Cavuto,

“I’m not at all impressed with how successful Romney has been in private industry. He’s not running for a job in private industry.”

Revolutions have a tendency to eat their leaders. Truly put into perspective what Speaker Gingrich accomplished and there is no other candidate who deserves support.
People complain about the lack of leadership in politics yet overlook this great man. It’s America that’s unworthy of Speaker Gingrich presidency, not the other way around. This is a time for transformation and need for visionaries.
As an aside, don’t ever doubt for a second Rush Limbaugh’s place as part of the Establishment. Think about the timing of his pseudo-endorsement of Santorum via his brother as a surrogate. That did more to stop Speaker Gingrich’s momentum coming off the South Carolina victory. Most rank and file Conservatives think the Sun shines out of Limbaugh’s ass. I can only say, “Et tu, Rush?”.
