This is excellent, and the fact it is so short, more people are apt to watch it. Newt doesn’t even engage his brain and he has them on their feet with one sentence! Santorum doesn’t even belong to the club..

In a poker tournament, if you go all in and lose the hand, you are finished and cannot continue. Is that what the author had in mind?

Yup, they have also had plans to colonize Mars. Heck with $16T national debt and $2T budget deficits and having just scrapped the space shuttle, and NASA budgets strained to the limit, this is just what we need.

Elections matter. Newt is placing third or last place. He needs to end this fiasco and stop enabling Romney to march into the nomination. Enough is enough. He enabled Romney to squeak by a 3% win in his home state of MI and win OH by a hair’s breadth of under 1%. With an embarrassing 7% tally in IL, when does he not continue to further damage the anti-Romney vote and make a fool of himself in the process. Every commentator on FoxNews, CNN and anywhere you turn to now believes he’s toast and he’s only in it for his own ego. Once you drop out, no one then talks about you. Just ask Cain, Bachman, and Perry. According to ABCNews/WashingtonPost his un-favorability ratings among women have now hit the stratosphere around 60% negative and even his favorability ratings among men is dropping like a rock. Meanwhile Santorum, according to Rasmussuen, beats Obama in four core states. Even ostriches after a while pull their heads out of the sand to get their bearings. Time for Gingrich and his band of followers to do likewise.

As infuriating as it can sometimes be, there is something to be said for the people who dig in and don't desert their candidate, no matter what.

Being a Newt supporter, then, is sort of like being a Cubs fan?

No, being a Newt supporter is being principled and understanding what unparalleled experience, depth of knowledge, courage and intellect look like - and supporting them in a candidate - no matter how much the talking points candidate, and the sanctimonious candidate, capture the electorate with their lies and hypocrisy. Newt’s not running for Pope and he’s not running to sustain the status quo.

Well, if they say it's true, it must be true. At least we know where you got your talking points.

There you are living in a state that just voted in a bald moonbeam as governor, where they force you to join a union if you blink because that is such hard work, and surcharge you to breathe above water, and you talk about embarrassment? LOL.

The public loves to vote themselves some freebies.

I know, but I try to focus on the 50% who don't, and grow them. It's difficult, but not impossible.

He better win a few more states.

Would you like to help Newt and make calls from the national phone banks into Louisiana? They really make a difference. You just need to go to the network and click on Make The Call. I bet if you try, you will like it very much. It's addictive!

Rush talked extensively the other day about the critical importance of winning NC is for the GOP in the general election. At least, there was an article by a guy and Rush seemed to like the theory. Apparently, so does Newt. Anyway, if Newt pulls this off it will be a real slap in the face to the GOP-e, and very big in the event of a brokered convention.

do you remember why it was/is so important? do you mean for Newt or for the GOP in general?

Rush said there are basically a handful of people in some NC version of the silicon valley who hold the next election in their hands. Rush said this is why rat big-shots have been lurking around NC in such heavy numbers for the past half year. And why the rats were so upset that Perdue announced that she wouldn’t run for re-election.

Au contraire. A perfect gentleman, and team player, who realizes at this late stage he needs the near-miracle of three more states to come in FIRST in order to even be nominated (name placed in nomination) at the GOP convention in Tampa, would realize that the battle is over, and time to a) suspend; b) endorse the remaining anti-Romney; and c) release delegates and urge them to vote for the anti-Romney. We can much more easily “deny Romney further delegates” under the united Santorum banner, along with the endorsements of Perry and Cain and (marginially, Palin) which would also follow because of their support of Gingrich, than we can under the split, internecine banners of two conservative candidates, one eligible to go up against Romney in the RNC Tampa Roll Call of the States, and one who isn’t even there yet (under Convention Rule 40(b). )

Exactly how do they "hold the next election in their hands"? I can't make any sense of that or what it means.. money-wise, voter-wise, influence-wise?

the dems are there because they think they can flip NC to obama, and that would be really important, but I don't understand why so much more important than other southern states... and if you think I am just too stupid for words, I'll understand if you don't answer. I just never heard this scenario before..

In an interview in early '09, David Axlerod described in detail that they hinged their entire election strategy on a few small communities in VA. He said if they could get exceptional turn out in just a couple towns in Northern Virginia, they would tip the states electoral votes to them.

That is the type of small details that the Rats are tying to recreate this election cycle. You don't need to spend money and time in the entire state to win it. You only need to focus on handful of super voters that you think you can secure to win. That is where this small number of NC voters in a small NC area come into play. The Regime has calculated that securing them would tip the state and the electoral votes to them.
