VENEZUELAN President Hugo Chavez has returned home nearly three weeks after undergoing cancer surgery in Cuba, saying he is praying for life.
After stepping off the plane, Chavez smiled and waved but also spoke soberly about the path ahead.
"I lift up a prayer ... in this battle for life," he said in a televised speech on the tarmac. "We will live and we will win."

Chavez has kept secret some details of his illness, such as the type of cancer, spurring speculation about how it might affect the country's political landscape.
His close allies have assured Venezuelans there is no Plan B.

He stepped down the stairs at the plane hand in hand with his daughter and his mother.
The president has said a February 26 surgery in Cuba removed a tumour from the same location in the pelvic region where another tumour was removed in June. He has said he is recovering smoothly.

Understandable, given that he opted for the Cuban Health Care Plan. It's certainly a little late to be praying for common sense.

i don’t wish ill to anyone. I just don’t want him to have political power, anywhere.
On a different note, I think it’s interesting that he has had multiple surgeries etc. for what appears to be an aggressive recurrent cancer. In the socialist ‘paradises’ that he and his buds are pushing, I’m pretty sure heroic medical measures would not be paid for or supported. Those discussions have already started here in the US, and rationing based on prognosis is already in place in many European countries with nationalized health care. Socialism is what socialist leaders want for everyone but themselves.
He’s had the meat.
The Russian surgical team that worked on him gave him 2 years or less. From the looks of his prednisone puffed face I’d say way less.
Remember socialism is the transition phase to communism.
During socialism there is a small elite that guides the process to communism, where there will be no need for leaders anymore, everyone will do everything.
Of course the proletariat buys this because they will be better off and have more control and power. the current ruling socialist elites do not, and know they will never get to communism, because they want to stay in power and have a life like a king over their prole subjects. Any questioning, “I do it for the state and the goal of communism, comrade. Now do not question me or my loyalty again.”
Hopefully he will not take any medication, most of them have been developped by jews.

The best route to a humane world is spiritual. Human beings have to make voluntary choices to be charitable and not to be selfish. It can not be legislated. One huge hole in Marxist philosophy is the idea that only the haves can be selfish. The fact is that selfishness occurs at all levels of the socioeconomic ladder. It is no less selfish to sit on one’s butt and expect others to take care of you through their tax money than it is for a corporate executive to want a bonus or to look for a tax loophole. Selfishness is ubiquitous in human society, and all that politicians do is play to the selfishness of one group over another.

I was reading an oncologists remarks on Hugo’s 2nd cancerous growth in the same region they removed the primary one less than one year. The doctor didn’t think the long term prognosis was all that favorable. Who knows and we shall see-— but Hugo is living on borrowed time now.
