He's known as "America's Toughest Sheriff". But we think he should be called "America's Jobs Sheriff".
Because every time Sheriff Joe Arpaio conducts a raid, he frees up jobs for legal American workers.
Thursday was no exception, as the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office served search warrants at a Phoenix-based vitamin company and arrested 31 illegal aliens working there. Based on a tip, deputies conducted a 5-month investigation of 21st Century Healthcare in Tempe.
Deputies were looking for 34 employees at the vitamin warehouse presumed to have used stolen identification to gain employment with the company. The company operates out of three buildings, all of which were searched. Some of the workers tried to run when they saw deputies arrive at the business.
"The suspects went up to the rafters. They went up to the roof. So, evidently, they believed they had an escape plan, but it didn't work. We surrounded the building," Arpaio said.It was the sheriff's 58th crime sweep. In the previous 57 employer sanctions/identity theft operations, 100% of all suspects found to be committing identity theft to gain employment were illegal aliens. The Maricopa County Sheriff ’s office has investigated, arrested on the streets and in the jails over 51,000 illegal aliens.
"Illegal aliens are stealing identities of U.S. citizens to gain employment which escalates our unemployment problems. I don’t believe we should tolerate this. Furthermore, I will continue to enforce all federal and state illegal immigration laws in the business sector through human smuggling and crime suppression operations, despite activists, some elected officials and the federal government who have concerns regarding our operations,” said the Sheriff.Arpaio stresses that one of the benefits of these employer sanctions/identity theft operations is that they open up job opportunities for legal citizens.
For critics who insist that illegal aliens only take the jobs that Americans refuse to do, we remind them of the example in the news report below, where legal workers of all ages and backgrounds lined up for jobs at three Phoenix-area restaurants, after a major Arpaio raid removed 200 workers there:

I've observed that employers always require a copy of their workers' social security cards, no matter how obviously fake they may be, so they can have deniability in the even of a raid. So much for the excuse of illegal aliens being "otherwise law-abiding!"
