The woman who helped the Obama family train their Portuguese water dog, Bo, has died.
According to the Washington Post, Dawn Sylvia-Stasiewicz, a dog trainer whose well-behaved subjects lived among Washington, D.C.’s political elite, including the families of the late senator Edward Kennedy, died Jan. 12 at Fauquier Hospital in Virginia. She was 52.

The only reason I saw this, is a rumor that the Obama dog trainer was paid $102,000 in taxpayer money for the training of the Obama's dog.

So, I’ll repost that I’d like to know why is it we know 10x more about the freakin’ dog’s trainer than we know about the freakin’ dog’s owner? Way to go LSM.
Sylvia-Stasiewicz started training Bo at the suggestion of Vicki Kennedy, the wife of the late Massachusetts Democratic senator. The Kennedy family had sent its three dogs, Splash, Sunny and Cappy, to be trained by her and had been pleased with the results.

So, what did she witness that Obozo didn’t want her to see???
Remember when Obama was running for President he was asked about a dog. He said IF he won the White House his kids could have a dog.
Well he won and as it turns out other people got the dog, trained the dog, pay for the dog and care for the dog.
If it were only up to Obama the dog would be a stray.

Holy cow! I missed that story. All these are young people - Kam Kamata, Andrew Breitbart, Dawn-Sylvia Stasiewicz. Chicago politics writ large? Was it to watch the store that Ram went back to Chicago?
I have spent hours per day training my labs to be good house pets, during their puppy year.
Somehow it has always worked out well. Ones that get 10 minutes of "training" usually end up having undesirable traits.
Either you care about the dog or you don't, in which case you should get a different type of pet.
The story is misleading, it says she generates $102,000 per year, implying that's her salary from the govt. when in fact she is only on a retainer.
It's her business that brought in that money..from ALL her clients.

I think the trainer’s skills are pretty suspect. Every photo of the dog I have seen, it is dragging Obummer around by the leash. Obviously he doesn’t even know ‘heel’. I’m sure Ted Kennedy would be a great reference to have, he’d be too drunk to know if the dog was there or not.
Probably busted in on Obama and Reggie.
The trainer and dog may do well together but unless the owner uses what the trainer has taught the dog will not be likely to do anything other than be a dog

First family’s dog trainer weighs in on Bo’s progress
It seems like everyone is beating up on President Barack Obama. Even the Dog Whisperer is growling at him.
Cesar Millan has appeared on several national TV shows suggesting that
the First Family’s Portuguese Water Dog, Bo, is undisciplined and in
charge because he pulls on the leash, sometimes zigzaging every which
way.
On “60 Minutes,” Millan told Leslie Stahl: “If your dog doesn’t learn to
follow, you’ll never have a disciplined pet. I’ve seen them (President
Obama and Bo since) day one, and definitely, day one was not a good
scene.”
When speaking about Bo or, for that matter, any dog pulling at the leash, Millan has suggested the dog is in charge.
Dawn Sylvia-Stasiewicz had not heard about Millan’s statements, which
have been splashed all over the media. Still, she’s precisely the right
person to respond to those statements. After all, she is the First
Family’s dog trainer.
Her first response to hearing the criticism? “It’s very humorous,” she
said with a laugh. “A dog pulling doesn’t mean the dog is in charge.
When I see a dog pulling that never enters my mind.”
She maintains that Bo does know the command to heel.
She points out that
in many photos Bo may be pulling simply because he hasn’t been asked to
heal. “Besides, why must a dog always walk beside you in a heel? That’s
not fun,” she adds.
If this was a Chicagocide, then probably it has something to do with Muslims and dogs. I doubt if she saw anything else that would embarrass Obama, because Obama never goes near Bo except for an occasional photo-op.
On another note, I think it’s silly that a dog should always heel, unless he is ordered to. Good grief. When I walk our three dogs, they sometimes lead, they sometimes go to the side to sniff at something, they sometimes indicate that they want to go over and examine a bush or a tree. A walk should be an adventure, where the dogs have fun, not a military march.
I love my dog. It is a Golden Retriever-Black Lab mix. We don’t go for walks with her. I go for a “pull”.
Truth is, my dog is all hunting dog. It lives to run and find birds (or other critters) to stalk. :)
