It’s becoming clearer to me that if Gingrich were not in this race, Santorum would be beating Romney handily.

I just don’t see a path to the nomination for Newt. Not after tonight.

It’s becoming clearer to me that if Gingrich were not in this race, Santorum would be beating Romney handily.

Newt is now moot. Yesterday's races were in his own backyard, where his FR supporters were pracrtically guaranteeing victories, and Santorum beat him and Romney with a little room to spare. Sooner or later Newt will see the writing on the wall. I just hope it's sooner.

So far, he has 'won' 2 states out of about 20. He would have a similar tally in November, if he were the nominee.
