Didn't see a thread
Go Newt!
Go Newt!
This is exciting. Exit polls look good to me. Of course they have been wrong in the past but it seems like both Rick and Newt did well in some areas although it seems Santorum may win at least one state. The two together could put Romney in third and that would be nice.
Fox results by county
Alabama:

Mississippi:

Where are the exit polls and what time do polls close?
Thx for this thread. Been on pins and needles!
I was told polls close at 8 pm est.
I wonder why Fox doesn’t have maps this time?
I am getting it from Fox News. I should turn it to CNN but I hate that network even more than Fox.
I’m watching these:

Torn on who to vote for, went in and saw the delegate names for Newt. ....so I voted for Newt. I want either Newt or Rick, although I will say that this area of Alabama has a pretty strong group of Paul supporters. Anyone but Romney. I want the GOP they must listen to our voices and stop giving us just any old candidate.
Polls in Alabama and Mississippi close at 8 Eastern.
Hawaii closes at 2 am Eastern
placemark
Oh the polls close at 8.
Just cast my vote for Newt and Judge Roy Moore. I feel so proud of myself!
Where are these exit polls that look good to you? From what Drudge has, Romney is winning Mississippi and it is very close in Alabama. I don't consider that good news.
Mississippi polls close at 8:00PM EDT
Over at Fox they are saying that Santorum will win at least one state and that Gingrich is doing ok. I hope Romney gets third in both especially if Drudge is saying he is going to win one. That would be a perfect slap in the face for Drudge. There is NO WAY that Romney will win Alabama or Mississippi unless they just became blue states.
I just voted in Alabama. Newt all the way, Baby!
Did I see both primaries are open?
I didn’t put Hawaii or American Samoa because of poll closing time.
I voted the same, Newt and Roy !
Crossing my fingers for Newt..Please God don’t allow Mitt Romney to win both states, please..NO MORE MODERATE PROGRESSIVE RINOS!!
It will be third party time.
But...let's see what the results show. Just a few minutes away...
Romney will be getting a truckload of Democrat votes.
If I had voted like the liberals do I would have voted 14 times for Newt in Alabama and then drove across the Mississippi state line and voted for him 28 more times.
Go Newt and or Santorum! But mostly Newt! Not Willard!
There is something fishy about the very idea of a Romney win in Ala and Miss.
Thanks for that info ...
The snake oil salesman and military service avoiding coward WILLARD ROMNEY, from a family of snake oil salesmen and military service avoiding cowards, must be stopped at all costs.
In the unlikely event this degenerate fraud and coward from PLANET KOLOB buys the nomination, it will be an interesting election season, what with communists and the right uniting to make sure this cultist POS gets nowhere near the WH.
The GOP will die a well deserved death if MYTH SLICK WILLARD ROMNEY is their standard bearer.
RNC country clubber bluebloods and their creepy pulled back wives beware.
Pleeeeeeze let someone else besides Myth win these primaries!
GO NEWT!
Hey you might not remember me as I don’t post much but we live in the same town. Do you vote at the National Guard Armory? I voted there today at 12:30 pm and was voter #380 which I thought was a great turnout for our small town. If you voted there what number were you as I’ve been very curious about turnout.
I voted for Newt and Roy Moore.
I think a lot of voters went Santorum at the last minute...
IDIOT MISSISSIPPI GOP-E Governor Bryant endorsed Romney.
onyx, check the ping I sent you on another thread, please comment there.
Gator: Here’s a live thread, come over here.
Good grief! There are morons everywhere, it seems!
I love my Governor! :)
If you guys live in the same small town, you can start a Free Republic Chapter. lol.
Watching CNN results.
I decided to sacrifice my pride and check out the exit polls on CNN. ALA - Santorum, Romney, Gingrich. MISS - Romney, Gingrich, Santorum. IF they are accurate, it will be a long night.
Liberal people in AL have voted against Judge Moore in many elections now. Does he have a chance to return to the Supreme Court, or would they seat him if he did?
I thought they were results to but they are exit polls....leaning toward Mitt.
I shuttled old folks to their polling places during lunch time, and didn’t vote at mine until 4:00PM.
I was Republican voter #59.
The democrat count was over 200 at 4:00PM. Guess they want to keep Bennie Thompson in office.
I voted in Huntsville, Alabama at about 7:20 AM and was number 113. That seemed high to me for a primary so I think turnout may have been respectable.
Bryant is just following Haley’s orders, but they all know it’s all over. Two conservatives can’t win; even one conservative would have a hard time of getting the nomination.
Alabama you have to pick a ballot. Republican or dimwhit and you vote that ballot. We had a huge repubican ballot. I saw a sample of the dimwhit and it was tiny. Our county school board had like 15 republicans. NO dims ran for school board of the county. Last election everyone of them got smashed, so I guess none wanted to get smashed again by the republicans.
I’m watching CNN. Refuse to watch Faux.
I just realized the exit polls are still changing. At this point, they are appear to be leaning toward Santorum in both states. I suspect that will change several times.
“Unless something changed recently, Alabama and Mississippi are both Open Primary states.
Romney will be getting a truckload of Democrat votes.”
You mean Santorum. He’s the one that encouraged the democrat version of operation chaos in MI and OH.
There must be more Democrats voting in MS than in AL then. The southern Democrats would likely vote Romney in open primaries, but they didn’t in SC.
Yes I did! After work, so that would be around 5:45.
Go Tallassee Tigers!
