This will be quite a contrast, Santorum will talk, talk, talk for several minutes on concepts that Newt can clarify in just a few sentences.
Santorum will have them ready for a nice nap, when Newt snaps them out of their comas and electrifies them with his stark logic and intellect. As well as makes them laugh.
I am sure Newt will have them begging to shut Santorum up before it's all over, so they can get the facts straight from him, in clear, concise and logical order. (With a good laugh or two thrown in, just for the sake of interest.)
(Just my prediction of how it will likely go tonight.)

Don’t worry, if the voters do not tune in, the highlights will get a great amount of review. Which is an advantage to Newt, since his way of putting things, really stands out to people. The press included. And FOX is not involved, thank GOD!

Oh, wow, first, what changed your mind? And right now, the campaign is anticipating a newt's gotta go onslaught after tomorrow night, headed surreptitiously by Santorum - the only way Santorum does anything. The gist of the meme for supporters volunteers and staff - get used to mud and dirt in your face, stop listening to those around you, and just keep marching to tampa. I am sure the end product will be much more eloquent than that :)

It sounds like the phone call Quackertoo received was not only accepted by him as being from the Santorum campaign....
..but 'no dems' jumped on the bandwagon with his unkind remarks....
...and I expect there will be more from others....just piling on.
Most Freepers are slow to accept until they verify.....most, but not you two.
I know you won't take my word for it, but the Santorum phone calls are upbeat and if anyone is mentioned as either or...it's Romney.
Gingrich is not mentioned.
I am in SE Alabama and getting those same calls against Newt, from both Santorum and Romney campaigns. Full of lies!!
You both could be correct. Santorum's official campaign, with live volunteers, etc., could be doing positive calls, and then a superpac associated with Santorum, could be doing the negative ugly ones, and probably are.
Santorum has no contact or connection with the superpac, and is not allowed by law to, but he could ask them to stop any inaccurate calls or calls with lies in them, as Newt did when his superpac did some questionable things. Superpacs often do the candidate's dirty work.
I can see why, as a Santorum supporter, who has only made positive calls, you are offended. but the fact remains the other side of the coin is probably true, also. One of Newt's superpacs in Florida ran some ads about the holocaust or something in Florida, and everyone blamed Newt, but he said he honestly didn't know about the ads, and that is very probable; and could be true for Santorum, that he didn't know anything about them, also.
And now, I need to go take some medication, because I just tried to get a fair hearing for a Santorum supporter... yikes!

The nasty call I just received was from Red, White and Blue = Santorum’s Super Pac, which was identitifed before the ad played.
It was all anti-Gingrich. Not a word about Romney, but I hung up after two sentences.
I’ll wager Santorum tries to go for Newt’s throat.

One possible outcome of tonight’s forum is that the people of Alabama will believe that they have been stiffed by the Romney campaign by his not showing up. Hopefully that will drop him to third place in the voting behind both Rick and Newt.
